We're Westgate owners, so this is our go-to place for visiting the Williamsburg area. If we weren't owners, we would have selected a better property. The suite we're inhabiting this week needs a fair amount of maintenance and updating. It also needs deep cleaning. We wiped out all the drawers in the bedroom before unpacking. There are no bedbugs, though. My husband took about 30 mins. to check all the furniture and bedding before we unpacked or used any of the furnishings, and found no evidence ... Read more

The decor was drab, the appliances were older than I am, the fixtures were dated, and the bathtub was awkwardly placed. There was a ton of BLACK MOLD in the shower and it was beyond disgusting. They provided dishes and pots, but we had no frying pan and had to use a sauce pan instead. No salt, pepper, sugar, or flour were provided, and we had to go to the store to buy these. I understand why they didn't have actual food, but basic stuff that won't spoil often? Nope. The lighting was dim and gave... Read more

Recently I needed one night lodging in Williamsburg for myself and my two small dogs, total of weight of both dogs 9.5 pounds. My check in time would have been after 10pm and check out would have been before 6am. When I inquired about the pet policy a girl said they didn't allow two dogs but would check with her manager. She came back and said they would lift the one dog policy but would charge me a $178.00 cleaning fee plus the nightly room charge. This fee would need to be paid when I chec... Read more

I truly appreciate any business that also caters to dogs. Taking my best animal is the best vacation ever. So that's why I like to stay in any Westgate Resorts across the country. I don't go that far though with the dogs. I take my dogs in a reasonable road trip.

We arrived at the lovely hotel and had to wait by the pool until our room was ready. We were then told that our room was not located in the main quaint hotel but rather in an old filthy hotel down the block. We complained but were told they had no other rooms. We went to the room which looked like an old motel six that hadn't been cleaned or updated in years. Very old, smelly and honestly filthy. While waiting in the room trying to call around for another hotel, we found MANY bedbugs crawling... Read more

Let me start this review by stating that we did get a deal to visit in exchange for a timeshare presentation, because some will feel you get what you pay for. However, I have been to several Westgate properties to tour/ stay with friends and had great experiences. We arrived late at night and learned we would be staying in the cottages. The exterior of the cottages left much to be desired, but the interior was even worse. The room smelled strongly of pesticide, one of the locks on the door was ... Read more

We are timeshare owners at another location but wanted to try somewhere different. This resort is an old hotel converted. I knew this prior to my visit so I knew what kind of resort to expect. My unit was clean. The beds were more comfortable than my own. The only complaints of my room are the shower is slow to drain and the couch had rips in it and furniture was all scratched up. The staff is friendly. I would stay again. My other complaint is that I was asked by my concierge to attend a... Read more
