Attended a conference at Founders Inn. It served it's purpose, but I wouldn't rave about the place. The price was reasonable. The property has some character, but is in need of a facelift. Wallpaper and carpeting and decor are dated and kitsch when a simple clean makeover would give the place a touch more classic look. The staff was all friendly and helpful, but housekeeping was spotty. We left our room at 10:30 A.M. and when we returned to our room at 5:30 PM the housekeeper on the floor pa... Read more

Although the feel of historic charm is lingering in the air, it's on the verge of stale and musty. The salt water pool is worthy of note. The amenities for the spa are zilch. The rooms were so outdated - both prints over the two queens WERE THE SAME! WTH? So lame The restaurants - boring menu, sticky tables , stale carpet everywhere . Conventions and weddings might keep them in the black but we won't be going back!

You cannot beat this place for the price when it comes to amenities. The spa, the gym, the bar and the grounds surrounding it add great value to the experience. My stay as a whole and my experience with the service staff were very enjoyable. The only drawback to this hotel is the dated feeling of its furnishings to include wall decor, the furniture and the carpets. I believe the intention behind its interior design is to transport guests to a bygone era and to make you feel welcome and comfortab... Read more

All I can say is...WOW! This resort blew our minds! GORGEOUS grounds, extremely friendly staff....everything was above and beyond our expectations. We were here for the annual Siberian Husky Club of America National Specialty show....this resort hosted our huge show very well (especially considering this was their FIRST hosting any show related week) This place is amazingly beautiful, and my husband and I are planning a return stay in the near future. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of dining at The Swan Terrace for lunch on Monday, October 30, 2017. They had a buffet lunch. I had the shrimp corn chowder~ so delicious. The salad bar was one of the freshest, with great choices. Dessert was pumpkin cheesecake ~ again, delicious. The staff were of the caliber of any fine restaraunt. I will definitely be back !!!

I stayed at the Founders Inn and Spa, I was at a conference held on the property. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. There is a resident swan, Abbey. She is quite tame. I believe the best part of this property it that it is pet friendly. They have a large fenced area for the pet guests.

Beautiful grounds. Large, sunny rooms with views of the gardens available. Friendly, helpful professional staff. Two great restaurants, two cafes, a bar and a fabulous spa. Free wifi, Left your products at home home? Use the complementary Neutrogena products in the bathroom. Thirsty in the middle of the night? Enjoy the complimentary bottled water or two in your room. Exhausted? Sink into the comfortable, pillowy bed. Couldn't have asked for more!

I really enjoyed this neo colonial small hotel, tastefully decorated with the period furniture. What I enjoyed most is an evening walk through the university grounds. A sore, however, was the presence of some companion dogs from the dog show, in spite of signs advising otherwise.

I booked a last-minute stay here this past weekend. I chose this location because they allow pets and I got a great rate. Little did I know, there was a dog show happening in the area and it appeared that everyone else there had dogs as well, so it was a little overwhelming even for me as a pet owner. The grounds are lovely, but the hotel itself is quite old and I wouldn‚??t consider it a four-star hotel. The service was great, the staff was very friendly, and I heard that the restaurants were y... Read more

My room wasn't ready when i arrived at 4:00 p.m. They were supposed to call when it was ready. They didn't. I had no maid service. When i called for service they said it wasn't available after 5:00 p.m. Not once did they apologize for this total lack of service.
