The property is huge and beautiful. It has a mini water park in it, and we ha d great time floating on the lazy river. The restaurants are also nice and service is prompt. My wife spent a day at the spa and loved it. Great service and professionalism. It's the place to be if you want to get away from the city (but not too away) as San Antonio is 15 minutes away.

The staff is ALWAYS so friendly and attentive to our needs! The rooms are very comfy and clean, room service is fast, front desk is very helpful. It's one of my favorite places to stay. One of the few hotels where you get what you pay for.

This place is beautiful. The location is great, close to everything but still secluded. Every interaction with the staff was very good. The bellman, valet, and front desk were all courteous and helpful. Something about the hotel gives it an older, established, comfortable feeling without being outdated. I think this just proves the architecture and construction were done in a timeless manner. The food and service in the bar and restaurant were great as well as the banquet service. As we v... A great place to take a break from everyday life and for special occasions. Everything in the lobby seems oversized, in Texas Hill Country motif. Two great fireplaces in the lobby with plenty of comfortable seating. They have a fire pit outdoors and offer complimentary s'mores in the evening. On our visit it was a little drizzly, so the staff was using one of the indoor fireplaces to make s'mores. Definitely a hit with the kids. A lot of families enjoying the hotel on a Saturday night. Hotel was fine for the most part. Checkin didn't go smoothly. Every experience I had with their food was bad. Room service kept forgetting things, restaurant closes randomly, food mediocre at best. Location not very close to other activities. You're kind of trapped there and forced to deal with their bad service.

Stayed here for a work conference and it was excellent! Outstanding staff, beautiful location, delicious catered meals. Didn't get to enjoy the pool areas but I would come back when it was a bit warmer to try that. My only fault with this place was the bartenders in the main long bar were sooooooooo slow which is not good when you have a huge amount of people in there!.

The room is outdated ,needs renovation. It is not worth the price. Their bed is narrow and the pillows are so uncomfortable. The bathroom is tiny and has no exhaust. Then the grout in the bathroom is dark which looks so dirty. There's a bug lounging on the tub when we arrived.

I log a lot of nights in hotels for work and Hyatt has become my brand of choice because of the way that they take care of people. Without a doubt, this visit tops all of my previous stays from a customer experience perspective. Prior to checking in I was welcomed via email by Charlene McCracken. She shared that some of the amenities such as the Regency Club would not be open and that the lazy river was not heated (I had previously been told otherwise). She was incredibly apologetic and ... Unfortunately we only stayed one night but we managed to pack a lot in. Family of four with boys ages 8 & 13. They loved the pool with a basketball goal, lazy river, slide, and of course the boogie board wave machine. Played volleyball and soccer with other kids and families and even rented clubs to hit the driving range early in the morning. Complementary set for my 8 yr old. Good dining options and even roasted marshmallows at the fireplace. Highly recommend this oasis outside the city.

Just completed a week at the hotel with my children and grandchildren. On the downside, the hotel in general and the rooms in particular are a little dated, in need of some sprucing up. The rooms could be cleaner and the linen improved. Some pool activities were closed for maintenance and this should have been posted on the web site in advance. On the upside the level of service is superb on par with an exclusive boutique hotel. The staff could not have been more hospitable. Ken Mendelssohn and... Read more
