We stayed here overnight for an overnight getaway that included a Houston Symphony concert. The Hyatt was perfect. We had a high room with low noise, good views, and the hotel is conveniently located for a stroll to Jones Hall. We'd happily stay again. We ate at the upstairs restaurant and enjoyed the view. We were not hungry, so just ordered dessert, but it was beautifully served and tasty.

Very nice hotel on the edge of downtown Houston. Close to Sam Houston Park and Buffalo Bayou for a bit of peace and quiet or a 5-10 minute walk into central downtown. Very convenient for access to/from the freeway and plenty of parking options locally if you don't want to pay for valet. Very comfortable bed and good soundproofing between rooms. I could only just hear the crying baby in the adjoining room. I had an extended stay here due to Hurricane Harvey and despite being similarly trapped in ... Read more

The Hyatt room was large enough, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast at Shula‚??s was delicious. But the best part of our stay was the staff. They were helpful and friendly, and engaged us with witty and personal conversation. People do make a difference in this increasingly automated world.

We attended the New Years Eve bash and it was the best we‚??ve been to. We weren‚??t to thrilled about the drink prices $11.00 but we had no problems with the way they tasted. The 50,000 balloon drop is awesome. We met many people from all over the country that have attended for many years. We have been to other events in the Houston Galveston area not one could compare to this. The desserts were fresh and tasty. The after midnight pizza and tacos were awesome. I was very impressed from the mome... Read more

I had specifically requested for English Breakfast teabags n milk satchets in the room but there was only 1 teabag and two very small non-dairy creamer satchets plus 4 coffee packs. There was no hot water in the bathroom but only tepid luke-warm water which made for a very dismal shower and shave. Only 1 bottled water was provided which is pathetic. No floor mat in bathroom therefore tiled floor was very slippery after shower. No extra-soft pillow provided in room. Check-in check-out staff excel... Read more

Near businesses. Clean and nicely sized rooms. Staff is all very helpful. Hotel bar and restaurant on expensive side but good food and service. There is a bagel shop in the lobby for a lower priced option. 10 minute walk to Main St for other restaurant options.

It was a wonderful experience. My husband had a conference and we celebrated his birthday. Enjoyed the ambience at Spindletop! A very relaxing weekend. The city is very clean and pretty at night. A great place to come to.

Staff friendly, efficient and helpful. Room spacious & mattress very firm. Valet service outstanding! Featured restaurant, Shula's, had excellent food and service was attentive without hovering; price somewhat high. Heard one attendee comment that he had donated to hurricane relief already and food cost seemed like they were trying to recover from the hurricane independently. .

Nice hotel but it is much too overpriced. Did not know I would get charged $35. each day for required valet parking. Drinks at the bar are outrageously expensive. The only restaurant available at the hotel is Shula's where an average steak cost $50 - $60.
