The first thing I thought of when entering The Adolphus is "Where is Leo and Kate?!" The dark wood paneling with gold accents really does give it a "Titanic" feel. Customer service was great. Room service, while expensive, was also timely and good quality. Any minor issues I had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The Spa services were also over priced, but the massage I received was fantastic. If you have some money you are ready to spend (because your going to burn through some money here... Read more

Really dissatisfied. Hotel under construction, hardly could see it from the street. Parking unsafe in some situations for sure. All in all disappointing. Would not recommend. See my review of Sheraton which is close by for a fabulous hotel.

We stayed here while coming to Dallas to purchase a car the night of Dec 15. Firstly, I was bothered though not "upset" but the fact the hotel entrance is under considerable construction. It was not mentioned anywhere on the website or during the process of booking with a live agent 12 hours before arrival and upon navigating downtown Dallas at 10pm did produce some confusion and a "couple times around the block" before we found out where to pull up to the valet. Inside this hotel is fantastic. ... Read more

We stayed here December 29th. Rooms were huge, ours had two king beds on the 7th floor. Service was good for the most part. There were a few small misses but I would stay here if in the area again. When we checked in I asked if there was a room with two beds available and the desk clerk was going to charge me $25 for this when there were plenty of rooms available. I am a Marriott Rewards Member and I've never had them upcharge me for the same room category( I was not asking for an upgrade). When... Read more

The hotel is beautiful. Old world charm, fireplaces, beautiful woodwork and old time elevators. Wonderful location. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. The rooms are spacious with modern bathrooms. Only thing missing is coffee/tea makers in the room. Coffee service was available, but I prefer to make my own whenever I like. Whitney, the concierge, was so helpful and accommodating. Had really good suggestions of what to do in Dallas. Valet was the only parking available at the hotel. There... Read more

This hotel has just underwent a major renovation and it is beautiful ! The front entrance was still being redone so made valet parking a little bit of a challenge, but the whole valet staff was excellent. All the staff treated us kindly and the front desk gentleman who checked me in when I checked out 3 days later remembered my name which I was shocked. The rooms are very large with two king beds which is unheard of. Again a wonderful stay with a great staff. Would stay here again in a heartbeat... Read more

I stayed here with my Aunt for one evening during the week of Christmas. The lobby entrance is currently being worked on, so the main beautiful entrance is relegated to the side by the valet parking. Not the grandest way to enter the hotel, but it is only temporary. The lobbies are beautiful, very grand and handsome. However, it was extremely cold in the public spaces and, though we would have enjoyed having a drink at the bar and lounging by the fire, it was far too cold to do that. People wer... Read more

I would recommend checking out the layout of the hotel before booking a room, and ask for an outside room. I had an inside room, which overlooked a lower rooftop and into windows of other rooms. There were many floors of rooms with this same awful view. I would have appreciated a choice or a heads up on this. Otherwise it was nice, but pricey.

Hubby and I were on a road trip and I had just stayed at a different hotel in Dallas the month before. This hotel was a way better experience. This hotel is one of Marriott's Autograph Hotels. It has to be our favorite Autograph hotel so far! Although there was construction, we had no problems with the hotel. I loved the antique feel of the structure indoors. The ambiance of the waiting area of the French restaurant was romantic and hubby and I enjoyed every moment we spent waiting to be seated.... Read more

This hotel is in a historic building and the elevators, hallways and lobby area reflect this. The rooms, however, are modern and renovated. The bed was very comfortable, great concierge lounge as well. A beautiful hotel and a very comfortable stay.
