This hotel is under construction and switching owners. We just needed a place to sleep off I75 and this was a terrific deal. We arrived early AM and had to wait a few minutes for someone to answer the door after buzzing several times, finally we called the front desk and were let in - we appreciated the security, but call ahead if you are arriving late. The pool is now closed, no matter for us in this instance. I was hoping to use this hotel when travelling south in the future, however, I wa... Read more

Last minute booking and traveled with a pet. The hotel served it's purpose well. The women went out of their way for us coming and leaving. The were great at the front desk. The rooms well it's all being redone and we knew that from prior reviews. It was a very secure location right off of I-75 S. For the most part it was clean and smelled fresh. The sheets were stained could tell they were washed and steamed though. So I simply asked for another set and put them over top of everything and went... Read more

The first thing you notice when you drive up is all the construction (and it's noisy in the mornings, even Sunday morning wasn't safe). They are doing renovations, so hopefully this will improve future guest's stay. We were not warned of the reno's before we got to the property and this may have changed our mind, but since we were already booked, we kept the booking. The next thing was, due to the renos they did not have the continental breakfast that was advertised on their site. The front desk... Read more

This is a basic inexpensive hotel. I'm no sure I'd stay here again. People are nice and we weren't bothered at all by the renovations. Smelled clean, quiet. The only complaint- dirty walls and bathroom door around handles. I may spend a few more bucks next time for something a little nicer.

Positives = Nice lady at check in, big room, AC works, smells clean. Negatives = Under renovations, No coffee maker in room, no breakfast at all (said you get hot breakfast on webpage), pool still covered ( it's the first of June), odd stains in chair. For the price it's not bad. Would like them to state on their web site that you get nothing but a room for your money.

Overall the hotel wasn't too bad. Some attention to detail is definitely in order. First off the floor in the elevator needs to be redone due to some warping/water damage it would appear. Secondly The carpet down the hallways leading to the rooms is a bit dirty and parts of which need repaired or replaced. The overall appearance was pretty decent when you walk in the front by the front desk. The young lady behind the desk was very friendly and professional and got me a room and checked in quickl... The hotel was very easy to find and check-in was a smooth process. The front staff, Amanda (I think that was her name), was extremely friendly and her bubbly personality was a wonderful experience after a long day of travel. Unfortunately, our room smelled very musty when we walked and the fan for the shower was noisy. The beds were comfortable and the room was otherwise clean.

We have stayed at this hotel for years going to and from Florida but it has steadily gone downhill. The first room backed onto I-75 ,had a balcony door that did not close properly and had no lock - room 220. We declined to stay in that room. Our next room was at the front of the hotel away from the traffic noise. The carpet was not clean and had what looked like gum stuck to it and was torn in places. Fortunately I had brought slippers. The whole room looked as tired as we were after a 14 hour dr... Read more

When I booked this hotel, I read many reviews and decided to go ahead and book because the hotel had received good reviews. I also received a coorporate discount. When my husband and I checked in and got to our room, we were highly disappointed. First of all the room was so small, the smallest king size room I've ever stayed in. The bathtub was black on the bottom and if the cleaning staff cleaned everyday like they should, the tub would not have been black. I've never seen a hotel bathtub like ... Read more

For a one night stay, traveling from Michigan to Tampa, Clarion room was adequate. Bathroom clean, room spacious. Ask for a room with refrigerator / microwave if you want one. Breakfast is free,so don't expect gourmet ; at free ham too salty, waffles ok, but there is fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal options.
