Stayed here for three nights after selling my house. Midwinter sunrises are stunning looking over the Newport Bridge. Spacious suite n bedroom with very comfy beds. Restaurant open Thursday-Sunday- seafood chowder the best I have had in my 41 years in RI, no kidding. This old hotel has been brought into the 21st c nicely, even the sloping floors have charm!

I have been staying at Bay Voyage for over 25 years. Last year's experience (2016) was not good, so I was pleasantly surprised at the transformation in December 2017! First, the staff has great, helpful attitudes and are very accommodating. Thank you, Wendy, Stephanie, and the evening fellows! Other reviewers complain they are told to wash their towels, so I do suggest that a towel exchange or reasonable fee for more be set up like other timeshares (not Wyndham) do. Now for all who co... We always stay at Bay Voyage Inn and have gotten used to its quirks‚??loud plumbing, older ambience, because the view of Newport Bridge is spectacular, and IG is the perfect walking distance to town even in December. The staff is very helpful and you are not bothered with time share calls. We really like the on premise dining as well. We do wish Wyndham would upgrade its coffee. It is weak and lacks flavor. But then we head to Slice of Heaven sooner.

We stayed here as an anniversary gift from a friend (her timeshare). It was fairly easy to find, although the parking lot is on the opposite side of the main entrance door. It is set with a nice view of the Pellham bridge. Due to upgrades, we were upgraded to a corner room with large outside deck with bridge view. This might be the best suite in the house, with large deck and views. Our 1 bedroom had a large living space with sofa, loveseat, tv, table and chairs, small kitchenette (fridge/microw... Read more

Hated everything about this place. Misleading website description. Rundown building. Most uncomfortable beds. I was in agony the 3 nights we stayed. No maid service. Was told if we needed more towels, that we could launder them ourselves?! I do not do laundry when on vacation. Only gave in room coffee for one day, if we wanted more we had to buy it. What?! I would never recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I are traveling the eastern seaboard for vacation and this was our first stop. After driving for 13 hours and in a hour long traffic jam we arrived to Bay Voyage Inn. We were impressed with the sites exterior and the surrounding area. Steph greeted us when we arrived and pleasantly checked us in for the night. It is our first time to Rhode Island and I was hoping for a room with a view but to no avail we got streetside first floor. Although the room was nice and clean we asked S... Read more

We reserved through and were very pleased to find ourselves in room 203 which has a deck that may be just as large as the suite and overlooks the bay. The room was more than adequate having a sofa and love seat, wingback chair and a small table and chairs by the window, as well as a full bedroom. I looked at room 202 while it was being cleaned and found it to be similar in amenities. Rooms 201-203 have decks bay side. We had a very nice time with only minor issues with the deck ra... Jamestown is a quaint little town just over the bridge from Newport. We stayed at the Bay Voyage for a long weekend. As stated in other reviews there is no day maid. But it didn't matter to us. We arrived on Friday to a clean good size room. We were told at the desk that there is a service on Tuesday (the day we were leaving), but since there were only two of us and we had 4 towels - we did fine. There were pool towels in the room, but it was too cold to use the pool. Don't miss the Bay... Read more

Our suite had an enormous deck that overlooked the bay, which was our favorite part. The room was plenty big for us and our children. Bed and couches were comfortable. Bathroom was updated and nice. Kitchenette was well equipped. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. One minor complaint was the handicapped spaces (our daughter is handicapped and uses a wheelchair, and we have handicapped placard) - during our stay the handicapped spaces were taken most of the t... From check in to check out we had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and hospitable, We had an elevator, for those who need one. Our unit was spacious and clean, for the two of us, with a lovely view of the bay and the Newport bridge. We were in room 203 and we appreciated the larger deck and viewing area. Their are FREE washers and dryers located in the FITNESS CTR. We loved the food served at the attached restaurant. The chefs are doing an exceptional job. The staf... Read more
