in Philly for a consult at Children's Hospital -- a quick 10 minute drive across the river, so location was great. Love the Palomar! Lots of character, great responsive service, easy valet parking and bell service. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable room (stayed in the 1 bedroom suite, sitting room was great for our daughter and the baby, our daughter LOVED the huge, deep spa tub). We enjoyed room service -- possibly the best burger I have ever had! Restaurant adjoining lobby is go... Read more

Stayed over just for one night in December. The hotel is well located and clean, with a lovely warming atmosphere when you arrive. Found the room to be huge and similar to the Washington Palomar, well decorated and modern. I struggled sleeping on the evening however due to noise from the street. We were on the 6th floor and still found it exceptionally loud. The hotel is near shops, bars and restaurants and I would stay again.

In town for a recent show at the Kimmel center, we decided to get a hotel overnight and avoid driving home late in the evening. After some searching and price-checking, I decided on the Kimpton Hotel. The description was intriguing, it was within walking distance of the places we wanted to go, and a room with king-size bed and spa bath was available. We checked in, put our things away, and set out to explore and walk to dinner, then the Kimmel. All was well, until the next morning when I decide... Read more

I stayed here 3 nights while traveling for work. Pros: convenient location, comfortable beds, complimentary happy hour in the lobby, "hipster" feel. Cons: street noise for low level rooms, slow wifi, small rooms.

This is my favorite hotel in Philadelphia. It has my favorite bath products as well. The bedding gets a 10. It's the type of bed you wanna jump in and just lay around. I've stayed here three times. Each one has had a different bathroom, not that I'm complaining. Simple room lay out. Very modern. Bar downstairs, and room service. The type of hotel room you wanna just stay in and not go outside.

I want to especially give five to the clerk that checked me in (Titus). Titus greeted me with a smile, gave great suggestions on how to tour the city. (Even though this was a business trip, I arrived a couple of days early to tour the city) It just so happened to be 'restaurant week', all reputable restaurants we completely booked. Titus (using his connections) got us in to a great restaurant for dinner. During my stay at the hotel, as I walked through the lobby, I would see Titus greeting the ... Read more

I just loved this hotel. It is centrally located between the shopping district, great food places and not too far from the museums. This hotel gives a real city feel. Loved the wine hour as well as the fabulous staff. Kimpton hires the best, most courteous staff.

My family was coming into the city on New Year's Day to explore Philly for a few days. We arrived in the afternoon and our room wasn't quite ready, so we walked a few blocks down to see the Mummer's Parade. When our rooms still weren't ready by 5pm, the staff was beyond apologetic and gave us a free dinner in the hotel restaurant. The staff was helpful and friendly, and they went above and beyond to make sure our time in Philly was enjoyable. Perfect location; clean rooms; wonderful ambiance. Wo... Read more

Escaping D.C. during inauguration, I turned my sights to Philadelphia for the weekend. Arriving before any rooms were ready, the hotel will hold your luggage while you explore the city. Walkable distance to the subway, it was easy to see various art museums while I waited to check-in. Upon my return, Johnathan is the person you must ask for. Casually stating that I drank sparkling water, he randomly sent some up to me during my stay. Since I deemed my trip a staycation, I never left my room but ... Read more
