Nice, clean, warm hotel, comfy beds, elevator quite quirky stopping on the first floore evry time we used it but they were in the process of having elevators replaced, thank goodness cos I almost grew a beard waiting for it to come and go and I am a female! Breakfast........more styrofoam cups and plates and bowls, plastic cutlery...what is it with plastic and styrofoam?, I have been travelling round the USA for 5 weeks and have not stayed at a hotel yet that had ceramic plates and proper silver... Courteous and friendly staff. Spent a week. Room service is excellent. I met few good man in my life and Mr. John is one of them. Location is at the center of the two. Everything is nearby and convenient. Planning to take my family there for week long vacation and will definitely will stay here.

Spent a week here on business. Rooms nice size. Elevator stops on first floor for some reason. Parking nice and easy. The hotel and decor very dated but comfortable non the less. Breakfast is terrible. Terrible I say. Best bet is to order a pizza from across the street the night before and keep in fridge. No microwave in room. Staff is VERY friendly. Located smack dab downtown so a lot to do within walking distance.

The rooms are dark--inadequate lighting. Beds are comfortable. Only one elevator and it is very slow so when there are 9 floors, it is a hassle. The continental breakfast is very meager. Location is good for easy access to restaurants.

Spent a weekend here for a late October for a wedding. The location was perfect: walking distance to fun bars, coffee houses, restaurants and funky shops. Prior to our stay, I read some reviews that were downright rude and mean, and after our stay I have to say I did not have an unpleasant experience at all. Our room was more than adequate. Continental breakfast featured locally baked goods and a coffee station that was stocked all day. A generous lobby made visiting with family homey and conge... Read more

Hi, First, I'd like to say I never take the time to review establishments, unless I find them life changing in a positive or downright negative way. On our arrival after a four hour drive through Manhattan from Long Island, we were greeted at the reception to find out that they could not locate our reservation. They said the reservation name was wrong. Somehow, we discovered that the room was actually under the name of the guest who was added to the reservation as a second guest. When tel... Read more

Situated in the heart of the city. Park in the adjacent garage and walk everywhere. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large, clean, free WiFi, big TV, coffee & tea in room; couldn't ask for more. Nice continental breakfast had a good variety of food to choose from.

Staff rude and argumentotive. Breakfast like a super 8. But the place costs much more. Maybe they had some orange juice 1 elevator slow. Not a good value at all. Will never return. Central location does not make up for bad karma at Desk.

The good: friendly staff throughout my whole stay, validated parking, locally sourced breakfast items, comfy mattress. The mediocre: small bathroom with no exhaust fan, elevator broke and had to hoof up 7 stories, only one outlet by the bed. If I ever traveled to this area again, I would aim somewhere outside of city limits.

Continental breakfast was a joke. Basically toast and jam. Two items of fruit yogurts and boiled eggs all served in disposable plates, cutlery and mugs. Only one lift worked and that could not cope especially when a coach party arrived. Even that stopped on the first floor (empty floor) every upward trip. Room not serviced well and could do with refurbishment. Many cracked floor tiles in bathroom. On a positive side bed was great. A hotel of this side could do with a restaurant especially as the...
