I was attending a military ball at this hotel recently and while enjoying cocktail hour - my gown split and the zipper broke. The staff at the hotel (Karen and Becky) saved my night! I quickly made my way to the hotel front desk and the staff was amazing. Karen cut the zipper out and sewed me into my gown so I didn't have to leave the event. They were so kind and accommodating - especially considering I wasn't staying at the hotel - I was just a guest at an event! I would recommend this venue f... Read more

I stayed for 4 nights recently. Overall the hotel is very nice. The restaurant has good food (a little pricey but in line with downtown hotel restaurant prices). My issues had to do with intermittent hot water. On three afternoons, I had no hot water. I work out after work so I had to take very cold showers (didnâ??t have time to wait since I was meeting with coworkers for dinner). I did call the first day and it was back after dinner. The same thing happened again the next two days. I gave up s... Read more

I am a Marriott rewards member and have been for over 3 years but after my experience with the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel I will never come back to another Marriott again. I canceled my reservation 24 previous to the date of reservation. I saw that there was a 48 hr cancellation policy so I made a phone call to talk to their reservation staff to see if I can get out of it without being charged. They assured me that this was not a problem and understood and sent the cancellation email to... Read more

I stayed here for my birthday November 3rd-5th. I had 2 rooms. Came in from Pittsburgh, PA. I was really pleased with this hotel. The staff is very nice and professional. I wanted to thank Ebony and Yordi for their hospitality. Loved being right in the heart of town. Close to great brunch places and a night out in town. Would recommend this property. The hotel itself is beautiful. From the lobby to the rooms. Thank you for your service. I would stay here again in the future when I make my way b... Read more

Found a great deal on Priceline. Hotel was great. Valet parking only which I find annoying. We had a drink in the bar. Typical hotel with a glass of wine averaging $13. The workout room was great. Had some nice additions like bosu and ab rollers. Didnâ??t stay long enough to have breakfast but looked like the buffet was pretty popular. Would stay again.

Stayed three nights for a work conference, 9th floor. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom/shower was clean & good sized. Conference rooms were nicely done, had good sound, and the food was better than most. Starbucks across the street (pre-order on app to save line), CoGo bikes ($8 per day) kiddie-corner. Very close to good restaurants and a couple of dive bars. One block from state capitol building. Overall recommend.

The hotel front desk staff has a nasty attitude. They were not helpful and very rude on the phone. I had no problem with them face to face, but the need custom training. Most decision to stay, buy or deal with a particular company is made over the phone. I am glad there are other hotels to deal with in downtown Columbus. If you have a choice stay anywhere else.

Fun weekend visiting for a college football game at Ohio State. Great location with nice clean accommodations and friendly personnel. One young gentleman Hassan helped us with our bags and couldn't have been nicer. He was so helpful and told us many options for dinner and directions. The best part was that he was so upbeat and cheerful. It was a pleasure talking to him. He was always smiling and made us feel so welcome there!! Don't hesitate to stay here!! There is a lovely bar and restaurant he... Read more

I have stayed at 4 properties in the areas and the Renaissance Columbus became my choice for the duration of my business travels in Columbus. The fitness center is good. The outdoor swimming pool and view are awesome. A Large percentage of my co-workers stay here. We see each other at the Concierge lounge. The food is better than the other properties. The best part is the staffs at the concierge lounge where everyone knows your name and remembers your preferences. In the morning you have Karen... Read more

We knew ahead of time that the parking was outrageous, and only available option was valet. Was nice to have, but I prefer to take care of myself and not be dependent on others. Call me old fashioned. Walking into the lobby, I was pleased with the look and feel. Updated, classy and things flowed well. They got us checked in despite being early, and up to our room we went. Walking in, the room was nicer than what was expected. A little smaller than the room we had the night before for half th... Read more
