Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my two adult children (aged 21 & 23) the hotel is in a perfect location, the staff are very helpful & friendly, rooms although quite small are well equipped & clean. We stayed in room 2007 which was on the 20th floor with an amazing view of the Empire State Building. I will definitely be visiting again.

The hotel is located in garment district, not far from Times Square. Easy walk to a lot of things. The hotel itself is decorated beautifully and has a bar downstairs and one on the roof. The rooms are typically New York small but laid out nicely and very clean. We had 3 people and it was tight but definitely doable. Turn down service with sweet treats is a nice touch. Everyone was extremely helpful, particularly the front desk and concierge. Would stay again.

If you have a week to spend in NYC, try the Archer on West 38th St. We are theatre goers and found this a great place as our base. It's close to Times Square but removed from the crowds and close to most subway lines. The hotel is a homey place. Although 22 storeys high there are only a few rooms on each one. The staff all clustered at the front desk, not hiding behind doors in an office. They are unfailingly helpful and respond immediately to any request, Happy hour from 4-7 at the lobby bar is... Great location, great accommodations and friendly staff. Foyer Bar has wonderful appetizers and Happy Hour was enjoyable! Charlie Palmer for breakfast, French Toast was divine. Room facing Empire State Building view is recommended, rooms quiet and floor to ceiling windows and high ceilings helps make the room feel larger. Love the rain shower and large so you didnā??t feel cramped. The hotel even sent us a nottle of champagne for a birthday celebration! Will definitely stay here again!

Archer hotel is in the ideal location. It is easy to get to from the airport... airtrain to Jamaica station. Once you arrive at Jamaica station you have to pay for a $5 ticket for the airtrain used and at the same time can purchase a $1 metro card and top up a few dollars for the subway. Simply jump on line E to Briarwood station and then the F line to 42nd St Bryant Park station, then it's a 5 minute walk if that. Obviously if you want the easiest way perhaps an Uber but it is far more costly a... Read more

Room was gorgeous. Small room but beautiful. Everything looked new. The staff was over the top friendly. Everyone asked if there was anything they could do for me. The restaurant was terrific. The rooftop bar was fun and has a great view of the city.

Like most nyc hotels, the room and bathroom were on the small size, but the design made it work very well. Two people sharing the room had enough space in both rooms. View of the Empire State building was a plus, and the front next staff was friendly and helpful. Only downside was the amount of luggage in the hallway outside the elevators. View from roof bar was lovely. Would use it again.

Engaging staff, awesome location near Bryant Park (with a huge Whole Foods across the street). a few blocks to Times Square and Broadway, Subway stop. incredible view from the rooftop bar.Go up at night and have an amazing view of the Empire State. The room was a little tight, to be fair but quiet as anything. It was raining one day and as we were walking out a bellman gave us umbrellas without even asking.
