The Duane Street hotel is located in Tribeca and is an amazing hotel for a quite reasonable prices. The staff is extremely competent and very personable. The decor is lovely and very tasteful, the basic colors are black and white and it works for a dramatic effect. For my husband and me it is also very convenient to our daughters apartment. We have stayed there often and I highly recommend it.

The staff was very polite. The rooms were quiet and I loved the toiletries. Unfortunately, there were some small sticky spots on our floor which indicated it hadn't been mopped. We wiped up the areas we could see. The shower pressure was great. The size of room was average and expected. The bed was so comfortable! We slept very well. Traffic sounds wasn't offensive and we were on the 4th floor. We had no problems staying here and would definitely do it again!

Not a fan of this hotel at all. The rooms were small and a bit run down, making them feel a bit dirty. Room heater was SO loud when it kicked on that it would wake me up every time. Shower head is ONLY a rain shower with awful water pressure. It literally took me 30 minutes to shower due to the water issue & trying to get the shampoo/conditioner out of my hair. Retrieving car from valet took 60 minutes. 60! We ended up late for a work meeting as a result. Good location & employees were friendly.

Stayed here a few times. Once with my wife. She didn't like it but I will go back - it's around the corner from my office. Good location in Tribeca but it's a bit on the fringes of Tribeca. Room decor is great has a very lofty feel. Ask for a high floor as the lower you are you will feel the rumbling of the subway underneath the street outside. No street noise it's well insulated which is a plus. They should update the alarm clocks to make them more adaptable to all phones but I guess these ... Read more

Just left New York after a fab 4 day break. We chose this hotel as it's in a hip part of TriBeCa . The rooms were tiny And loud. You could hear everything and I mean EVERYTHING! The shower does not have a good flow. It was ok and the staff were friendly but where there are so many places to choose from we would not go back here. Overall the break itself was fab and it didn't alter our fab time.

I just spent 2 nights at Duane Street hotel and was so pleased with my stay and the staff. We got there very early, and they held our luggage for us while we went and walked around the city. When we got back and into our room I was surprised with how spacious it was for a NYC hotel. We had the double room and it was very comfortable for just two of us. The location is great, just a few blocks away from the subway, and some great restaurants nearby. The staff was amazing and so helpful, they held... Read more

Stayed two nights with family after the New Year. Had heard great things about the hotel from a repeat guest and wasn't disappointed. Everything was great. The high ceilings and decor in the room made you feel like you were living in a NYC loft; the lobby was cozy, well appointed and inviting, and the staff were all friendly and gracious, even remembered my name when I came down in the morning for coffee. I will definitely return.

I wish I had obtained the names of all staff who made our stay so enjoyable, but with all sincerity I say EVERYONE who was on duty during our stay did an outstanding job of making us feel welcome and special. They truly were amazing and I cannot stop talking about them and your hotel. I have decided this will be my home-sweet-home when in NY! I loved the lobby's simple elegance, with its inviting, cozy, warm, and beautiful sitting areas, conference tables, bar, etc. We used it all and made ourse... Read more

Exactly the kind of hotel I like. Small hotel in a great area - Tribeca - where you have access to lots of subway lines so you can easily get anywhere you need to be in New York City. Lots of places to eat in the area too both for breakfast and dinner. I had a Superior Queen room and it looks exactly like the pictures on the hotel's webpage. Smallish room but this is very typical New York size in my opinion. It worked out very well for a solo traveler such as myself. Nicely decorated with a bo... Read more
