This location was a welcome surprise - I had sworn-off the "America's Best Value" brand, after two back-to-back horrible experiences in other locations with the worst hotel management ever. Solid reviews of this location combined with very reasonable rates and the fact I was traveling solo tipped the balance: I decided to roll the dice one more time....Good thing, as the lady who greeted me at the check-in counter was polite, efficient, and provided helpful local advise regarding dining option... We paid more than for other locations in Tucumcari because of good reviews but this was worst place we have stayed on last night of 2-week trip. The negatives: 1. extremely too soft old bed; 2. only one paper cup for in-room coffee for 2 people; 3. no ice machine (we were given 2 small bags of lumps of ice cubes that you could not break apart); 4. no local or broadcast TV! 5. heater in room could not be used because of very bad chemical order so made do with the poor thin blanket o... We are travelling from Florida to Vegas and have been looking for budget stays along the way as we are tired when we arrive and are just looking for a good, warm night of sleep! Check in was fast and Rama was friendly and very helpful. Slept well in a comfy bed. Shower had good power and I was very pleased with the strength of the hairdryer. Breakfast was a nice help-yourself affair, enjoyed a fresh waffle and some fruit, my husband also had some cereal. We met Ray on our way out and he too was ... Read more

Love it. Great low price. Had a two room suite very clean. Check in was fast and our room ready. Safe area with lots of close by restaurants. Stay there!!! They provide a light breakfast and beverages which are the usual stuff.

Good place for an overnight stay the owners are pleasant and helpful the price is right and the room was satisfactory. We were very tired and I slept like a rock, the motel was quiet, but there was no elevator so ask for a ground floor.

We are traveling from Las Vegas to Arkansas on a budget for research. This property will not disappoint most traveling on a budget, but 4 & 5 star travelers would not be enjoy a stay here. We have not stayed at an America's Best properties because we thought they were on the lower end of accommodation selections and usually we did not read great reviews, this property had pretty good reviews for the price. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The good: Easy off the highway, the price - $40 befo... Read more

Stayed here on our trip back east and also on our return trip home to CA. It is managed by a family who were friendly. The hotel is clean, but located in a run-down area of town just off I40. The rates were less than the hotel next door. A plus was the restaurant next door.

The woman at the front desk was super nice and helpful when i arrived late; she even alerted me that most of the restaurants closed at 9pm in case I was hungry. I got a king bed and clean room, but nothing fancy. It was about what I expected for $50. I'd slept late and came down to breakfast late. I had to eat in my room since I had to work on the computer. The man (husband I believe) not only kept breakfast out for me, but he helped carry my 2 cups of coffee to my room while I carried the... Read more

This is a wonderful stop for any trip down or near route 66. The owners pay special attention to each and every guest and provide excellent accommodations. It is an older hotel, worth the visit. It is a great place to stay with family and friends.

We stayed here for only one night. The woman behind the desk was very friendly. She told us what to see downtown. The room was clean and comfortable. I booked two rooms and they were connected to eachother by a door. Great for family's ! I would come back here !
