I stayed here twice on business in October and was happy with the many food options nearby. Everything you expect from a Marriott Courtyard. Lobby and rooms recently renovated in an older hotel that has likely been here for 20 years. Parking is inexpensive in the attached city garage. I will stay here again on a future business trip.

Traveled to Washington DC but wanted to stay in Silver Spring to be closer to kosher restaurants. This hotel had a good deal and was well located. Beautiful, clean rooms, pretty lobby. Kind of unusual that there's no ground floor lobby; you have to go up to the fifth floor of the parking garage then walk across a walkway to get to the hotel lobby. Had problems with our room key/card - didn't work consistently in the elevator. Staff was wonderful, helpful regarding travel to DC.

This hotel is conveniently located - right across from a Whole Foods! However, it is an older hotel that needs updating. The pillows were foam and too firm. There was a lot of noise that made it difficult to sleep. And the TV had only sound (no picture). If I come back to this area, I will look for a more modern hotel.

My husband & I stayed here for just one night last month to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Since it's in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, it's surprisingly quiet on the upper floors. Rooms are big-city small, but nice & cozy. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I absolutely adore this hotel! Beyond being in a great walking location to the Silver Spring area it is right on The Pedestrian Mall area which has an abundance of shops and restaurants many of which are outstanding and I can't even fit them all in when I come for business. The hotel itself has an extensive breakfast options for very reasonable prices you can get access to the pool and fitness center. a great pool for swimming laps (it is not a kids pool) it is within walking distance to the Met... Ok - so - here's the thing - this hotel could be great because it's in a really nice location, but a few things are keeping it from being so. I'll just say it; we found a large cockroach in our bathroom and trapped it in under a glass. I told the desk - they sent someone up - the roach was gone, but the glass was still there. :( Second, the A/C in our room would not adequately cool the room; the hotel sent up an engineer when we were away and we came back to find a newly installed thermos... This is the type of hotel that enjoys carrying a large chain label but has not done much, if anything, to make this a good hotel experience. Located in downtown Silver Spring, the area has really grown and become very nice with businesses like Discovery Channel and other corporations in the area. There is good shopping and a wide array of restaurants through the area. The hotel has a lobby that is sparse. The breakfast and deli restaurant area is contracted out and there is the very slim imi... Read more

Hotel is nice and reasonable. We arrived late at night after a 6-hour long ride. We were welcomed by an ill-informed receptionist, who was tired and grumpy and not helpful at all. She kept us at the front desk because she could not figure out out reservation payment details, though we showed her a very clear invoice with all the details. The room was big, quiet and clean. The morning receptionist was kind and helpful. We did not try the restaurant but it seemed nice enough. Whole Foods across ... Read more

The room, staff and overall location was great. The room was very clean, it was a good location, central to many restaurants, the metro and other entertainment. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the area. I would stay there for both personal and business need again.

I stayed here for 1 night around the Christmas holiday. I was initially assigned a room on the 5th floor (505), but it smelled like smoke, so they moved me to another one on the 5th floor, which smelled like smoke and air freshener, so they finally moved me to a room that didn't smell gross (on the 7th floor). The staff was perfectly fast and friendly about the room changes, and the one we ended up in was okay. In generally, I'd say that this is a fairly well managed hotel with an aging stru... Read more
