We read the reviews so were prepared for the place to not be that great but I really wanted to stay in this part of town and not spend too much on the last night of a long vacation. Although the place is rather worn, it wasn't bad. The service was helpful, the room was good sized and seemed clean. But the real draw is the location - it's terrific. I understand it's closed for remodeling. I expect it will be a great place to stay when it reopens - although I bet the price will also be more.

Stayed one night at the O'Callagan Hotel. They were getting ready to close for remodeling?? Our room smelled like mold when you opened the door. Valet staff was very helpful. Restaurant that was attached was good for cocktails -did not eat there. May be willing to stay there again after a remodel.

The places was clean but the shower was moldy like it had never wiped down. the mold easily wiped off. The restaurant in the hotel was closed more than open and when it was open there was no waiter to be found. its not the best location to downtown.

This is a great hotel within Annapolis. Close to the downtown area (walking distance) but far enough away that you are not in the thick of things. I would recommend the rooms with balconies, as they come in handy to relax on in the nice weather. The overall appointment of the rooms is okay, so we will see what the new owners do! Staff is always great and super helpful.

Great staff, great location. Very nice bar and restaurant. Room was a very good size. Quiet location. Only thing that kept this hotel from being 5 stars is that the towels were the same luxuriousness as I use at the YMCA.

This is my second time staying at the O'Callaghan in Annapolis. It is a very nice hotel for its price range. We always choose it because my wife and I like to walk everywhere and it is in the perfect location on West St. The only downside is that parking is $20 a night but beats driving and worrying about time expiring on the meters.

We had family come and stay at the hotel for a week and we stayed one night on our wedding night. We were in and out constantly during the week because our family was there from out of town. The front desk concierge was very friendly and helpful and the valet was very friendly, always opening the door for us and greeting us. The rooms were comfortable, but nothing special. The luggage rack leg was almost completely broken. But the worst part was the loudness of the ac/heating units that so... Read more

We chose the O'Callaghan Hotel in Annapolis because of it's proximity to the Rams Head On Stage, a concert venue a couple of blocks down the street. We had tickets to see the Smithereens on 1/28/17 and did not want to fight for parking in downtown Annapolis on a Saturday night. Note that the O'Callaghan offers valet parking for guests for $20 a day. That $20 fee includes unlimited in and outs. The registration clerk was pleasant, offering suggestions for dinner and directions to the Rams Head. W... Read more

We were very pleased with our stay. Rates were reasonable and the hotel staff was always friendly and accommodating. We were close enough to downtown that we were able to walk to everything. The room was a little threadbare and the cable was really lacking (32 channels, I think) but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. If I have any complaints about the room, it would be that it had a refrigerator, but no microwave. Very nice bar/restaurant just off the lobby. The wh... Read more

Nice location. Place is a bit weathered. Rooms are in serious need of an update. Kind of musty. The bathroom fan in my room couldn't be turned off. Also- when I called to make my reservation, the guy booked me for an extra night at a prepaid rate. Staff gave me a grief about fixing it at check-in (when I learned of the mistake), but eventually agreed to fix it.
