This was my first trip to New Orleans and was not really sure what to expect. However, I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and its staff. the front desk people were always very nice and helpful. The real superstars of this hotel though are the concierge. The ones we saw most often were Lionel (hardest working man in New Orleans) and another young man whose name I cannot remember, unfortunately. They were so nice and funny. Always had a smile to greet you at the door as well. During ... Read more

The first half of the French Market has been transformed into a New Orleans Food Court. The selection is unique to NOLA with all high quality fare at reasonable prices. Some of the local favorites are the Smoked alligator sausage and muffulettas. Both of these are must tries in NOLA. There is some cafe tables to sit at. Several places as food bars to sit at while enjoying their offerings. It's a great place take a rest bit while refueling and rehydrating yourself as you enjoy the French Quarter ... Read more

The most lovely Inn, Fabulous location, Excellent Staff especially NANCY at front desk check in. She was professional yet so very genuinely warm. My room was simple yet beautiful with exposed brick walls. The room and Inn was well kept inside and out. It was beautiful. I'm already planning my next trip to New Orleans and will definitely be booking my stay here again.

Rooms were clean and comfortable but semi claustrophobic. Service was excellent. However, I really chose the hotel for the location. In the French Quarter, located blocks away from just about all the attractions. Price was fair, parking is where they get you.

If you like the charm of a small hotel and want to be in a convenient French Quarter location, then you'll like the French Market Inn. The rooms are all different and some have quirky dimensions. They have been renovated, but look a little worn and could use a touch up here and there. The bathrooms need a soap dish for the sink and a place in the shower for soap and shampoo. It was nice that the rooms each have a safe, but ours was broken and we couldn't get it fixed during our visit. The b... Read more

You stay here for the very convenient location on Decatur St (at St Louise) on the edge of the French Quarter. The pros - most of the 120+ room face the central courtyard rather than the main road which means minimal outside noise even though you're so close to the nightlife areas of the quarter. Tons in walking distance from the hotel - and then easy to stop back by the hotel when you want a break. The cons - old, dated, dark rooms. The dark part is ridiculous - we could barely see in the ... Read more

Very friendly staff, quick check in, and a quite nice room. The location is great for visiting the French Quarter area. Great food, music and trolley are all within a five minute walk. We loved sitting in the courtyard at night. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a GREAT hotel! You cannot beat the location--walking distance to everything in the French Quarter, and only a short distance from the Marigny, the WWII Museum, the streetcar to head up to the Garden District, etc. The hotel is older with a lot of charm. We had an 'interior room', which is to say it doesn't have any windows. I know that seems odd but it actually was wonderful because it was pitch black and nearly silent, which made for *excellent* sleeping. Our friends had a room overlook... Read more

This inn was perfect for our stay and was a great location and a great value. The room was small but again perfect for what we needed it for. We spent very little time in our room but everything was walking distance and otherwise lyft was super reasonable for anything further out. Nancy Lonne and Alicia were all super helpful. Thanks again!

Great location. Surprisingly quiet even though we had a balcony over Decatur St. Staff was extremely friendly. Nancy was very helpful when we required something extra. The cost of our stay was reasonable. The room was very similar to one we stayed at when we were in Paris. Bought breakfast at Johnny's (right around the corner) and ate on our balcony enjoying the view.
