Very beautiful hotel that was built to look like an old world castle. Many nice paintings and old furniture in the lobby and halls to give you the feel you were in a French or German castle. The staff was great and never a problem the few times we were there. The property was sold to be updated, however as of July 2017 they going to tear it down for a business Park. It is a shame, it was a nice place to stay.

We found a good deal online as we were traveling home through Iowa. It was for this property. It was a little hard to find the driveway entrance in the dark; but when we found it & drove up, we were pleasantly surprised. Then, when we got to our rooms & opened the doors, we all said, "Wow, this looks great!" The bathroom was very nice @ had a beautiful sink & bathtub/shower; also had a portable hair dryer, which is something I always appreciate! The king size bed was beautifully set; there is a ... I had fun and relaxed for one night. The hot Tub was amazing. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. The hotel looks like a scary house and got it's own touch of decoration but still amazing and cheap. Extra charge for breakfast. Wifi was good. Over all stay was amazing.

This hotel was great especially for the price. Rooms were clean and adequate. Doesn't look like much pulling in but once you're inside it is very cool. Old style decor and very quiet. Be sure to explore the whole place. A small snafu with reservations, I reserved 2 tower rooms but when we checked in there was only one available so we stuck to the main building to have the rooms together. They offered to move us after the first night but it wasn't a big deal. The bar/restaurant was the bes... Read more

I used to live in the area and this place was awesome. It had a very fine restaurant that the locals would support. It changed hands around 15 years ago, and they have let the maintenance slide. The restaurant was closed. My room needed wallpaper work. The TV was tiny and not a flatscreen. The building is still very neat and there is a lot of antique furniture all over. The location is very central and right off I74 between Davenport and Bettendorf. It work fine as a place to stay, but n... Read more
