This Marriott was definitely in need of some renovations. It should be nice after they are completed. I received an email stating the renovations were occurring a couple days prior to arrival so I did have a heads up. However, on a Saturday morning I really think they could have started them after 10am instead of 8am. That was really unpleasant and after awhile it gave me a headache. You stay at a Marriott expecting a certain level of hotel. Well this property is no where close. Check in No problems and Iļø? was off to an ā??upgradedā?? room. Room My first room was a corner room that sounded like it was next to a racetrack. Really the street noise is so bad you think it overhangs the highway. Was shocked to see Marriott have their name on this property. Was wondering why rates were on low side now I see why. Elevators were filthy, terrible aroma. TV service was out saturday afternoon in entire hotel while directv worked on it, so missed college football games. Rooms were small and worn out- nicer rooms at places like La Quinta. The concierge lounge was closed for renovations during my stay, so Rewards members were relegated to corner of the restaurant. The staff is very nice, but full size plates at breakfast would be nice. Speaking of the renovations - they seemed to cutting corners on some things. Me paint and carpet, but the room furniture is banged up and appears to be left over from a previous refresh. As others have mentioned, this hotel is getting a top to bottom renovation. Based on what Iā??ve seen, this hotel is looking amazing. My room was completely finished except for the new mattress, which I heard was arriving any day. The bathroom was awesome and the new shower among the best of any hotel Iā??ve stayed at. After an early morning flight, I was given a room on the 11th floor and told there were renovations on the eighth floor. Unfortunately, the noise was unbearable and I couldn't get the 60-90 minute nap I was looking for. After the experience, they offered to move me, but it was too late. I had to go to work in a tired and grumpy mood. If the renovations need to be extensive, the hotel should be closed. I am a loyal Marriott customer, and I won't be back. I had to book 5 reservations and the front desk agent Kelly and reservation agent were very polite professional and very informative and informative and super willing to assist. I do this everyday and very rare you will find this consistency in two different departments hence I would say they're well trained across the board!

Stayed at the Westshore Marriott for a procedure that I had done at Tampa General on the 6th of Sept. Staff could not have been more accomadating. But the real gold stars need to be handed out to all the management and staff for their handling of the Irma hurricane situation that followed. All the staff that stayed at the hotel (a great idea by management) and waited on hand and foot to all the guests are a real asset to their employer and the Marriott brand. We were here for a board meeting of about 20 people. The conference facilities were very good and staff worked hard to meet all of our needs. Check in and check out was extremely smooth and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and filling. I was very pleased and could not think of anything I would improve on.

Stayed here a couple nights and brought my 9 year old son. He absolutely loves the indoor/outsoor pool. The hotel is undergoing some renovations and aa a gold member we would notmally be able to access the club level which was closed at thia time. This fine since the hotel comped our breakfasts instead. Housekeeping did an ouratanding job keeping everything fresh and clean. Beautiful lobby.
