On a business trip I checked in to find that my room was 83 degrees, and I tried to cool it down. I learn that at this point in the year, the hotel only offers heat. So I open the window a bit, and the street noise is deafening. At that point I notice that the hotel has left earplugs out for guests ‚?? not a good sign. The following day, management told me that the water would be turned off for 4 hours because of an emergency. Ok. Then there was a sewage problem on the 6th floor. Then, ... Read more

Just genuinely bad staff and bad hotel. The atmosphere has changed so drastically over the last year. The heat wasn't working and the ice machine was inoperable. The staff was unfriendly for the most part and they had odor on the 2nd floor.

Great location, beautiful room with a full size refrigerator and microwave. Manny was SO welcoming and helpful. Fun bar next door and plenty of good eats within walking distance. This will be my "go to" in DC now!

Main room was spacious and laid out with minimum needs (bed, tv, desk, couch, table, fridge, microwave, shower, toilet, sink, closet). Bed was comfy and interior decor fit the DC city and is more my taste style anyways (which is dark over light furniture only when not in a cramped space). Fridge was actually super cold (whereas my last hotel lacked there). Even though other reviews mention the morning dump truck noises as a major negative, hotel did offer earplugs inside room. It was 6am Sat... Read more

I had to reserve rooms for several visiting U.S. Government consultants. They really enjoyed the hotel and the location in DC. It was easy for them to get to all their meetings, but still have interesting things to do after their work day. The customer service was great as well - I was able to negotiate the U.S. Government Per diem rate for my consultants, which can be very difficult in the DMV area, let alone directly in DC. It was an all around great experience for everyone. Thank you!

Quick and easy check-in to a large clean room on the top floor. Excellent customer service from Manny, the night manager. He was extremely accommodating and friendly as I moved through the lobby to make sure I had everything I needed. I was a bit concerned about the complaints of noise in the other reviews, but I didn't have any problems. One morning I was briefly awakened by a garbage truck, but it passed quickly. The hotel is located close to a metro stop and a short walk to the White House. V... Read more

it's so loud in fact at this hotel that they provide you with complimentary ear plugs since there are garbage trucks and such keeping you up late at night. there is also a terrible shortage of coffee - no coffee in the rooms, there is a coffee café that opens at 7am, and they reportedly have thermoses out at 6am...however this morning I went down 3 times and there was nothing - so finally at 6:45 I went across the street to buy a cup - apparently I wasn't the first RL guess to run there due t... The web description calls this hotel a boutique hotel. I was expecting something a bit more upscale than it turned out to be. There is no check-in desk, just a round table where you are checked in by an attendant via an tablet. When I arrived, the lobby was full of people waiting to check in because the rooms were not ready. The location was very good, just a few blocks to most things especially if you go toward Dupont Circle. Metro stop was a couple of blocks away. The hotel did have fitness pa... Read more

Stayed here this past weekend, was a late arrival and I booked a room with a king bed, and was given a room with a queen bed instead. Very uncomfortable for two people to sleep in. On top of that upon check-in, the agent didn't even give us a rundown on the hotel so we didn't even know there was a fitness center or anything. Upon checkout the agent was very dismissive when I mentioned us not receiving a king bed and told me "You're lucky you even got a room!" I work in the hotel industry and was... Read more
