I stay at the Mandarin in Washington once a year when I attend a legislative summit. The combination of the welcome, great service, comfortable/inviting lobby, beautiful room and amenities, and spa (the hot tub is large, the lighting is dim - I love it) make the annual stay one I truly look forward to. The meeting rooms and catering are also top-notch. I have checked off that the Value was great; that in large part is due to the discount my organization negotiates for rooms during this annual s... I come here each year for a work conference and the Mandarin never disappoints. Everyone from the friendly check-in and welcome tea to the restaurants staff are 5-star and more. The rooms are beautifully and classically appointed with no signs of wear or lack of upkeep - always immaculate. Location is great whether you're hear for a an official "hill" or just to see the sights. My favorite luxury hotel in DC. Hope to try their spa one of these times because I hear it is spectacular.

A very nice, quite, full-service hotel that offers quality dining, service and great rooms. Highly recommend if in the DC area and available. The room was very quiet and had all the amenities. The pool is very nice and a relaxing stay was enjoyed. Room service was very efficient and tasty. I liked the tea and during my stay they held a special Chinese New year entertainment that was very pleasant.

I stayed at this hotel while I was in town for business. I brought family with me. They were easily able to tour DC while I was in meetings. Easy walk to the museums and monuments. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice big bathroom. Good lighting in room. Comfy bedding. Room service had good options.

We came to the MO for a one night stay and a birthday dinner. The hotel is in a great location very close to many of the Washington Monuments and a short walk from the Metro. The people there were incredibly accommodating. Will at the front desk was exceptional. He inquired as to the reason for our stay. When I told him it was for a birthday dinner and overnight stay, he insisted on sending some wine up to the room which he did. When we returned from dinner at Rasika, we found another birthday ... The Mandarin was the hotel my company held their conference in. The restaurant on premise was divine. I had a very tasty filet mignon. A great hotel room with a lot of cable channels - perfect for surfing after all the meetings. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were superb. I didn't have time to sightsee because of work, so I don't know if it's central to all the museums and shopping center, but I liked that it was quiet. I'm looking forward to next year's conference.

These people know what they are doing. The Asian know how has been transferred to D.C. Try not to be in a room near the train tracks. Unfortunately these have the best water views. The black cod in Muze restaurant is great...just like Hong Kong.

Though I didn't stay there because I live nearby, I was a Round Table leader and presenter at a conference at the Mandarin that attracted participants from around the world. The main conference room was perfectly set up with a faultless, user-friendly sound system. The food and refreshments were great, plentiful, and constantly replenished. Everything about the facilities was about as good and comfortable as could be, and the whole place has an air of quiet elegance that made the meeting a pl... Read more

Stayed here in January for a conference. Was upgraded to a large suite, which was very nice. The hotel is very much up to Mandarin standards, although I wouldn't rate it within the top quartile of the Mandarin Oriental hotels I have stayed at across the world. The decor in the room was less oriental and a bit too "staid east coast" for my tastes, but I realize that I am being a bit picky here. The location is good. Easy access to main sites and things to do in DC. Service was excellent, as... Read more
