We loved our stay at this hotel. Front desk staff were amazing. The housekeepers were some of the best I have encountered. My compliments to the housekeepers of this hotel - their customer service, polite and cordial service was impeccable. The several who serviced my room, passed on details of a request so that it was remembered and followed through with by other staff. A huge compliment to them! We loved the location of this hotel. If you stay in the main tower, take a tour of the connec... Read more

This hotel is situated in a very convenient area of DC right near the National Zoo, Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan neighborhoods. The hotel is very nice and within walking distance from great restaurants and shops in NW DC area. Overall, the accommodations are quite good and the service is also very good. I was upgraded to a really nice, larger corner room, which was very comfortable. All Marriott gold members also get access to the concierge lounge, which was small but comfortable with a decent... We stayed here to meet up with a friend staying at a nearby hotel that was fully booked. For our purpose, these were our thoughts. Pros- Clean Nice large rooms Good climate control Nice view Close to Metro station Good for Convention or meeting purposes Cons- This is a huge hotel and very impersonal Concierge Lounge on 10th floor is small, cluttered and loud Parking is extremely inconvenient Bathroom is tiny Pillows are flat, bedding on the light side Sheets clean but stained Poor signage ... I am a Marriott Rewards member and this hotel could add Marquis to its name given the level of service. The Concierge lounge was nice in that when you went because they had the same person most of the time they recognized you and let you in right away. The food in the lounge especially the breakfast was quite satisfying. The evening food was much tougher for me as a vegetarian. After two days of not being able to eat anything hot from the evening food, I mentioned it and was given a veggie b... Read more

I am a Marriott reward customer and have stayed at the Marriott in the US, Russia, Egypt ..etc. Upon arrival at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel in DC- near the zoo, I was asked if I minded being in a wheelchair accessible room. I said I did not until I went up and realized the room had not been renovated for a while and not on same level like the rest of the hotel - I am familiar with the hotel which I use for a bi-yearly business conference. I called to change the room and was told it was not p... Read more

APLU convention, about 1400folks. Convention facilities good. Food ok for large scale convention. Room was small, but clean and decent. Two double beds, not exactly what we wanted, but OK. Location convenient to Metro. Restaurants nearby. Easy walk to park and zoo.

I stayed here for a conference, but was reminded again why that's the only reason I come to this hotel. The location is great - great local restaurants within walking distance, and a Metro stop right outside. Beyond that, though, the rooms are tired, outdated, and a bit grungy. Breakfast is very expensive, and internet is spotty. Conference facilities are ok, which makes staying here bearable, but will be the only reason I come back unless there are major changes.

I stayed here for a conference and have a somewhat mixed review. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was also quiet. No complaints whatsoever about the room. The location is really good as well. It is right near a Metro stop and many good restaurants, and close to the zoo if you want to go there. The surrounding neighborhood is very nice. My only complaints are that is it sprawling, and the available food inside the hotel is somewhat expensive and just ho hum. To get a reasonable meal ... Read more

I am taking the time to write a review of this hotel in the hopes that it might save some people the misery of staying here. My choice of this hotel was based on work, so it was not really a choice at all. I will never, however, stay at this hotel again. It looks rather lovely from the outside but looks are deceiving. The rooms are incredibly outdated, lack any soundproofing whatsoever such that we could hear every person walking by in the hallway, opening and closing their doors, and conversati... Read more

First they don't have any sign outside for show . Or couple of sign on main Street. I wasn't sure if I was in right place until I reached there. Second, I spent 90mins struggling on the way, parking and marching in the big hotel. Turns out the show was very poor looking. I stayed for 15 mins and drive out of parking lot. They changed me $20 for parking. Enough is enough I'll never go there anymore.
