GRILLED TO PERFECTION
Spencers is an on-site dining establishment,  is a cushy, relaxing restaurant that offers you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu items offer flatbread pizza, pasta, and authentic angus beef steaks. It is an American style eatery that is sure to make you happy and satisfy your craving. Coppertop Cafe is off-site, and it is a cafeteria-style place to eat for the skier on the move. An assortment of wraps and salads along with burgers and sandwiches are grilled to your liking.

THINGS TO SEE AND DO:

  • Edwin Carter Museum -n award-winning museum that sheds light on a pioneer lured west by the Pike`s Peak Gold Rush in 1858-9. He reached the Blue River Valley in 1860.
  • Peak 8 Fun Park - Just because the snow melts, it doesn`t mean the mountain closes. In summer the Peak 8 Fun Park opens with a laundry list of made-for-thrills activities, including a big-air trampoline, climbing wall, mountain-bike park and the resort`s most celebrated warm weather attraction, the SuperSlide. Here you slide down a luge-like course on a sled at exhilarating speeds.
  • Hearthstone -One of Breck`s favorites is set in a restored 1886 Victorian. This beautiful kitchen churns out special dishes such as house-smoked trout, Colorado green beans wrapped in lamb bacon (we didn`t even know that existed), baked Brie, and prosciutto wrapped scallops, and those are just the starters. Entrees include ginger scallops, blackberry-glazed, granola-crusted elk steak, and cedar plank salmon. The three-course tasting menu is a reasonable $25. Dine in the oh-so-burgundy dining room or on the three tiered patios out front if the weather cooperates. Reservations recommended.
  • Ember - Great jazz on the sound system, strange glowing floral-art around the room and creative fusion on the plate. Apptizers include masa pizza (with chili sauce, curtido, avocado and manchega), pulled Kobe beef, warm walnut Brie, and lobster manicotti. Mains include coconut-glazed char with spaghetti squash, and soft-shell crab in lentil crust served with almond cous cous and curried pineapple hollandaise.
  • Breckenridge to Vail Bike Path - Summit County`s tremendous system of paved bike paths connects Breckenridge to the system`s hub in Frisco 11 miles away via a smooth rolling trail that parallels the Blue River. From Frisco you can hump the gorgeous Ten-Mile Canyon Trail through auto-free road-bike heaven over Vail Pass to Vail Village and Lionshead.

The indoor/outdoor pool and multiple hot tubs scored mega points with our crew. We go to a hotel to sleep. It‚??s the amenities that draw us and this one won! We‚??d totally stay again! (Note: it‚??s a large property so be careful you don‚??t get lost)

I was a bit nervous about this resort, judging from past reviews, but price wise nothing compared and I decided to give it a shot anyway. I‚??m so glad we did! We stayed in the ‚??Breckenridge Studio‚??. It was completely updated- marble countertops, new appliances, new furniture, and had a small balcony that was perfect to take pictures of the amazing view. It had a queen bed and a pull out couch that my 12 year old claimed to be ‚??the most comfortable pull out couch ever!‚?? There is a di... Read more

I spent four days here during the Thanksgiving week. This place has pretty much everything one could possibly need and more. The pool is decent size and it has plenty of hot tubs. We requested several things and always got them within minutes. A tad dated but other than that great place and within walking distance to town and lifts. Definitely worth staying if with family.

Decent hotel, great location. While not a 5 star room, I have no complaints. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Great location, easy walk to downtown and restaurants and bars. I was there in October, so can not comment on skiing access, but I assume it would be easy to catch a shuttle. Good, clean room. Our room had a kitchen which would have been more than adequate for any cooking needs. Would stay again.

We always stay at Brave Run when we are in Breck. It is like our home away from home. Best place for family and couples to kick their feet up and relax! If you are ever in the area, check it out! We absolutely love it!

I don‚??t have much experience with ski resorts. Family has a place at Whistler in the Pan Pacific Hotel, so my view could be skewed. And we were in between seasons, so I factored that in and gave the an extra point. We had a Colorado Suite at Beaver Run which was nice ‚?? furniture is a little ‚??traditional‚?? but worked out. Large suite ‚?? one bedroom with plenty of light. The bathroom was divided into two areas: one with a toilet closet and sink and the other with a LARGE open shower... Read more

Did not receive the room requested and was forced to convince the girl behind the counter why I needed the room I needed. As I am disabled, it was a bit unsettling to be put in this situation when I had clearly asked for a room to meet my needs and she failed to consider that request. Even after this discussion, I wasn't assigned a room where I had requested. Otherwise, the room was satisfactory.

Our daughter brought us to Breck for the weekend. The resort is incredible. Indoor/outdoor pool was a big hit. You don't have to leave the resort it has everything you need. We will be back next year but we will stay off a week. Walking distance to town. The shuttle driver picked us up in town at the crepe cart at 9:00 pm. Super nice guy.

I'm sure I'm revealing my age here, but I found it very disconcerting to see the level of development in this mountain town. This property seemed ridiculously big and sprawling to me. I guess that's capitalism for you.
