Just visited the hotel bar, but felt compelled to write a good review due to the bartender's (Angelica) great skills and fantastic service. Nice and intimate place with a fireplace. Restaurant also looks good.

Great urban vibe and decor. Only downside is the small rooms, so great for one person. Not a lot of room also if you travel with a lot of bags. The room was recently updated so plenty of new amenities! Great common area downstairs that is open seemingly well into the night. Great place to hang with friends etc. Highly recommend this property. Not sure about all the rooms, but the one I was in was hard to find storage for bags and hanging suit. But a quick business trip, it is just fine.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The decor is very special. Its not the same boring rugs and wall colors as in Hiltons or Marriot. Everythign had some character. Now the most important needs for me are cleanliness and a good bed. The rooms were really clean, and the bed was AWESOME. In fact I cant recall getting such a comfy sleep in the beds in many 5-star hotels like hilton or marriots. Another big plus is the amazingly friendly staff. They also have a really fun game room in the basement. ... Read more

This place is a very quaint hotel. Easy checking. The only bazaar thing was the 2 different elevators to get to your room. The amenities were fantastic. Nespresso machine to their shampoos and conditioners. Comfy bed and pillows. Walk to union square.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in San Fran and I got to say its STUNNING. everything from the decor to the lobby lounge area, the bar, resturant and the best basement games room we've ever experienced. So much fun in a really cool and trendy venue right by union square and about a 10 min walk to china town and 30 min walk to the famous wharf. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and modern and the venue all round is a great sta... Read more

We stayed for seven nights at the hotel this past new years. The location is excellent, walking distance from Union Square, shops, restaurants, etc. Room is not that big, however it serves its purpose - very cosy and comfortable. Two low lights however: a) bathroom shower is awful: very little water pressure. Obviously not sure if all room showers were like this one, but unfortunately this was the case with our room. b) hotel service is non-existent. There is no concierge. They have an off... Read more

Check-in and Check-out I had landed after a five hours flight and they were able to give me the room early (which was great). Room The room was a nice size and I really like the bathroom. The decor is retro and really interesting. My only complaint was lack of storage space. I had a tiny cupboard which also had drawer set, ironing board, iron, extra pillows, locker and night coat in it, which means there was actually no space for my own space. This was the same issue I have with counter spa... Read more

Hotel had sort of a euro flavor. Rooms were small and closet space was a challenge as the safe prevented having any long hanging clothes. Bathroom sink was extremely hard to operate. For the money and the location, it was fine and would probably come back. They need to get some vending machines!

After a major remodeling, the hotel we have stayed in for 4-5 years and met our needs, is greatly changed. The staff is warm, courteous and helpful, especially Mr. Ellis, but the room we always stay in now is much smaller, too small to accommodate 4 people. The bathroom has no fan/vent for steam; the counter surface space is inadequate; the basin, although quite large, has a very difficult to use faucet. There is no longer a concierge floor with a wine and cheese hour; the rates are greatly incr... Read more

Recently stayed here during an overnight in SF. The hotel is a great little boutique spot within walking distance to Union Square. The staff was amazing, thoughtful, helpful and really unlike anything I've seen in a SF hotel. The only ding I would have for the hotel was that we stayed on the 7th floor which meant taking two elevators to our room, no big deal, except way finding and signage to find the second elevator was non-existent. Not the end of the world, but something that should be addr... Read more
