I give this place a 4 star for the staff being so good to us during our stay. This place is not that bad. Beds are comfortable. But beware that the rooms are not air-conditioned and you have to ask the front desk for fans. So you better check SFO's weather before you check in. When we arrived it's about 92 degrees when we get to the room we were sweating trying to figure out if the AC is working only we found that the hotel room is "NOT AIR-CONDITIONED". Breakfast was basic only toast, Oj, coff... Read more

I booked the room through Hotels.com and in the confirmation email, it specifically said the room included in-room sink, flat-screen tv, cable channels and climate-controlled heating, among other things. In the room that I got, Room 403, there was no in-room sink. Flat-screen TV was not plugged in for both power and cable, and there was no outlet anywhere near the TV that I can reconnect them on my own. There was no workable climate control, only a window propped open with a cloth hanger, which... Read more

1. Neighborhood is shady, a lot of homeless people, drug addicts etc. 2. Staffs are very nice. Free breakfast before 10am, which is cool. The lounge is pretty nice and big. They have sandwiches, fruits, coffee, and juice. 3. Wifi is pretty slow tho. 4. Me and my husband got a nice room but it overlooked the ugly neighborhood, it was pretty loud at night, too. They have a big TV and a small fridge in the room. Bathroom is shared, but it was clean and I have nothing to complain about. >>> It was ... Read more

Although the room is small but it is comfortable and thereā??s a nice breakfast bar for everyone in the morning with toast, cereal, coffee and tea. The staff are nice and helpful but unfortunately with many homeless loitering outside of the hotel makes it rather noisy and rowdy at night. Our room faces the main road and it is extremely noisy at night.

My view on this may be skewed as I'm used to staying in better hotels. If you are backpacking, maybe this is the place for you. However, damp carpets that needed to be changed in the early 80s, tiny room. Very very loud from outside noise. No AC, need to have the window open for air, but no catch on the window to keep it open so have to shove a water bottle of something in it, also means can't attempt to lessen the noise. ROACHES. If you can't do bugs, don't stay here. The staff were helpful eno... Read more

This place needs better reviews! It's obvious that the new management are working really hard to improve facilities and decoration. Looked like there was just the flooring to change whilst we were there. Clean facilities, if there is a problem just let reception know - all staff are friendly. Really nice breakfast area with backpacker vibe, good basic selection of eats and the drinks available 24hrs is a great touch. Area is full of homeless people but they don't seem to cause trouble amongst ... Read more

Centrally located 5 min walk from powell metro station Breakfast included. Looked decent Complementary tea, coffee, juices New furniture Soap and lotion dispensers in bathroom The door of room 224 could be opened an inch while locked. I reckon smart people could open the lock within 10 sec. We got another room however. Shared bathroom not cleaned throughout the 48 hours I stayed there. Smallest room ever, i'd say 80 to 100 cm around the bed. We were two people and four suitcases... Lots of ju... Read more

This is located a 5 minute walk from the city and a 20 minute walk from the bus terminal. We chose a room with no bathroom, which worked for us as they were kept clean. There could be more showers though. The rooms were a good size and looked like they had recently been updated as had the reception area and breakfast area. Rooms have a tv, fridge, microwave and had a small sink in ours. There was also plugs and USB port built in to the headboard. We were there for four nights and didn't receive ... Read more
