Literally the worst traffic noise Iā??ve ever experienced inside a motel room. Iā??m laying here in the middle of the night with deeply inserted foam earplugs (30dB+ of noise attenuation) and itā??s still intolerable. The room is very very basic, drab, and depressing. Small, no fridge, no microwave. The parking spaces are too narrow for a normal car to fit properly so youā??re guaranteed to have dings in your doors. Iā??m expecting the free breakfast will be garbage, Iā??ll revise my post if I f... Read more

When I pulled up to the snow tell I was convinced that it was going to be a disaster. But it really wasn't. Let's start with the bad part, the carpet is stained and disgusting at least it is in room 6. And the continental breakfast is a joke. Don't waste your time. The room is small as well. And here's the good part. Super comfortable bed, bathroom is clean, neighborhood has some awesome bars and restaurants right around the corner that aren't on the main drag, and it's reasonably priced. Safe. ... Read more

We stayed at La Luna for 2 nights in October, 2017. We would not stay here again. Although the room was larger than usual, there was no working A/C or Heat. There was a plug laying on the floor from the AC/Heat Unit that was frayed, and there was nowhere to plug the unit into an electrical outlet. When we notified the front desk they grumbled and said "Ugh, that's the 12th unit that broke this week". They gave us a small heater to plug in and use at night, but during the day there was no way to ... Read more

Staff were all very friendly and polite. Free breakfast. Location is great, however, our room faced Lombart street and it was very loud at night, hard to sleep. Carpet is very dirty and stained. Bathroom smelled like cigarettes. I will never stay here again, but if you're on a budget and want a convenient location, this is your spot.

We booked here for 3 nights for the first part of our American road trip. We were in room 11! So small couldn't hardly move in room with cases. The room shook with traffic going past, the curtains were hanging off the rail. The room was dirty and the breakfast poor! My partner asked if we could swap rooms as we were staying 3 nights and that wasn't an option! So we hung in there and moved on to a much nicer place!

the rooms are clean there is enough parking space. the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast room is small so you may have to wait a while. but there is plenty to drink and eat. There are buses to go to the city center and it is a 15-minute walk to the port

I was charged a full night no discounts even after I had already prepaid thru TripAdvisor. They are too incompetent at front desk to figure it out. Breakfast was terrible, bread and cereal. Rooms mediocre and loud. Do not stay here if you can help it.

Everything was unpleasant since we arrived. From the lady at the reception who seem not to like us (maybe bcos we did not speak English very well) and made us (did not the same with other guests) pay $100 as a deposit (which we could never understand why), to the quality of the bed (the worse in our stay around the west coast), the breakfast included (not worth it to stay here thinking this was an extra), etc. For a price you pay, we considered not worth it to stay here.

Noisy doesn't begin to cover it! Free car park, room was ok, shower was just ok, bed reasonable, breakfast, just don't bother, was awful, plastic cutlery, cheap bread and jam, very poor. Guy on reception the day we arrived could not have cared less. Overall a very basic hotel not worth what we paid, one of the lowest quality hotels I have ever stayed in, very disappointed.

First stayed here years ago after they had remodeled. It was great. Carpets are now a little dated, but the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Sheets were very soft. They have free continental breakfast and are very close to the Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, Marina Green and Union Street shopping district. It's a good motel. I will most definitely stay there again.
