Convenient location for downtown and for all other sightseeing locations.Although there are homeless people down Eddy street towards downtown they don't bother you area felt safe when walking around even at night and staff were helpful. Nice little garden area to sit and relax with a drink was an additional bonus. Room was clean and fresh car parking was no problem . No complaints especially price wise considering some extortionate fees some hotels were asking in the San Fran area during our dat... Read more

This hotel is affordable and is relatively clean. The staff is friendly and the garden is really nice to be in. We had a room close to the street and this generated some noise. The neighborhood is not one of the best of San Francisco. We saw a lot of homeless people surrounding the hotel but they don't say or do anything to you. It is quite a walk to the coastal area.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights. All in all an awful experience. The room was dated and dirty, and the iron burned right through our clothes. Only positive thing about the hotel is the free parking space. On our last day we discovered that one of our shopping bags containing brand new 200$ shoes was missing. We contacted the front desk, who then called housekeeping. Apparently they had thrown the shoes in the trash by mistake. The housekeeper then tried to blame us, claiming that we had plac... Read more

Stayed here and was told they sell your parking spot for 100 per night to non guests. Mine was sold and they said sorry first come first served. But not if they are selling them and where in their online ad does it say not enough parking for all? That's false advertising and also bait and switch. For the same price I could have stayed at a Marriott Hotel.

This hotel would have received a solid 3 out of 5 from me if it weren't for an issue with our reservation. We booked through booking.com 6 months in advance as part of a road trip. We had confirmation that the booking had been accepted. However, when we arrived at the Oasis they claimed they had never received our booking and didn't have a room for us. But we were told not to worry because they just happened to have a couple of rooms reserved at the hotel next door. What a coincidence! We were... Read more

If there's somewhere cheap and nice in San Francisco we did not find it! This place is relatively cheap by San Francisco prices, but there was reason. The beds had mould on them and the whole place felt old and grubby. The TV didn't work when we got there and we didn't have enough towels. They did fix the TV, but despite asking twice, we never got enough towels. The sheets over the mouldy beds were clean, as were the towels. The staff were friendly but not very effective. We did a road trip down... Read more

No aircon, no breakfast, no coffee maker and no clock in the room, so why come here? Short answer, low cost and free parking. San Francisco is expensive, with hotels charging guests huge amounts to park, so as we were staying four nights, parking charges were a major consideration. The rooms are set around three sides of an open courtyard. There's a mezzanine area with vending and ice machines, as well as a BBQ section. Yes, it is in a dodgy area, but a short walk takes you to Van Ness, a main r... Read more

We stayed here for 4 nights and I can't complain about the room it was big with a nice bathroom. However the area it is in is not the best, if you are going downtown I highly recommend getting an uber as the walk there is very dodgy, it is the only place on our 7 week trip of the USA where I did not feel safe. We saw police who even told us not to walk! The actual hotel was more of a hostel vibe but with private rooms, there is a communal area and the staff are friendly. It's an ok place to st... Read more

Have stayed here before. They have added some improvements like new flat screen tv. Hooray for no more car sized old tvs. The front desk staff is very Unanimated and awkward but they get the job done . Hotel had a nice sitting area in the courtyard. Rates were great - low

Oasis Inn is not a memorable place, but offers decent simple accommodation in a OK neighborhood, in a walking distance of about anywhere in San Francisco and well connected to public transport. I walk quite fast, but it took me about 15 minutes to get to Liberty Square. The bus is some 2-3 minutes walk, 2 stops from BART. The rooms are typical for a US motel - spacious, with a private bathroom, all quite simple but clean. There was an old TV and a fridge in the room, no problems with hot water. ... Read more
