I stayed here in the top deck, river view side... it was so cute! The bathroom is tiny(I felt like I was getting ready in my travel trailer) but it was worth it. The bed was comfy and the view was so awesome! I thunk this is one of the most unique places I've ever stayed. I lived the history of the river boat and the restaurant was very good!

How often do you get to explore a meticulously renovated 1927 riverboat let alone stay overnight and enjoy a generously included breakfast? Rarely! Great location in old Sacramento but still just only a half hour drive to the airport.......Lit up real nice at night.... Look for lower prices during the week.

When in Sacramento for a wedding we stayed at the Delta King. The Delta King is a old paddlewheel steamboat that plied the waters between Sacramento and San Francisco from the 1920's to the 1940's. It was brought to Sacramento in the 1980's to serve as a floating hotel. Many reviews say that the rooms are small, well, they are. It's not a resort hotel, it's a old steamboat and that is what the charm is. When you get in your room you have a bed, armoire for your clothes, tv and coffee maker,... Read more

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay on the Delta King. We took the train from the Bay Area, and then walked (easy half-mile) to the boat. As we were there fairly early, our room wasn't yet available but the friendly staff checked us in and stored our bags. We then walked to the excellent Crocker Museum, and the Delta King front desk clerk called us while we were there to say our room was ready. When we returned, we found our room on the fourth deck, facing the river. While small, consider ... Read more

Keep in mind this is an old paddle wheel boat which is part of the attraction and appeal. I have stayed here in the past and would do so again. The rooms are small but hey you are on an old paddle wheel boat. It has a nice bar with entertainment on some nights. The beds and linens are just fine. Breakfast is included and it is quite good. You are right in old time Sacramento which has become a really nice attraction. I would stay here again because there is something about being on an old boat a... Read more

This was a a fun alternative to the run-of-the-mill chain hotels I normally stay in on business trips. The price is what drew me in, but it was much more interesting than I expected. Unfortunately, there is a lot of construction going on in the area right now so it was a little noisy and the views weren‚??t quite as lovely as normal. The Delta King is a lovely, old boat with lots of character. I think it would be easier to list the pros and cons in bullet points: Pros - * Great price * Val... Read more

My daughter and I visited the Delta King for my birthday. The service and weather were superb. Loved watching boats on the river while enjoying a nice drink. Very nice evening with my daughter. We were at Joes Crab Shack. Lots of work at the entrance.

It is a Riverboat. The restoration and the history are the best parts. The location is the perfect for exploring Old Town Sacramento and biking the path that goes both directions for miles. Lots to see and do from here. You have to know that the doorways are small and the ceilings are low. There is a nice view and it was very quiet (it was January). The room was clean and the bathroom was roomy enough. Had a great time sitting out on the deck and watching the river go by.

We travel to Sacramento one a year for business and always make a point to have drinks and food upstairs in the bar. Always great drinks. Always great atmosphere and the cheese flight rocks. We also had mussels as well as the shrimp louie salad. Nothing better on a cold rainy night on the river!
