While we stayed at their sister property, Holiday House, we did go to the Saturday Night swimmer at Sparrows. We loved the dinner and the property is amazing. We will need to try and stay here next time.

What can I say?!? Loved the room! Huge bath tub and even better shower. The staff was amazing and friendly. I will definitely be back! The pool and hot tub were also great. The room also had a back patio which was really relaxing.

We had a great time at Sparrow‚??s. The atmosphere is cute and rustic. It is a quiet hotel with good food and drinks. Our room‚??s decor was nice. The bed was comfortable. The shower was ok. It wasn‚??t enclosed so water got everywhere. The tub was uncomfortable. Our room must have had a cricket stuck somewhere because that is all I heard at night. Like it says when booking, the rooms are old so there is little buffer from noise. Bring earplugs. The pool was really cold and often there were not... Read more

Ok, this is a lovely hotel but NOT worth $500 a night as I recently paid. It's intimate and rustic and beautifully appointed with a great pool and lit sage - but it's not without its problems. We were in Room 1 which is right beside a busy road which you could hear all night. I heard more traffic than I do back home in my LA apt. The staff were lovely but not as good as you'd expect for a hotel this expensive. A few of us had to complain after the pool playlist played the same songs over and ove... Read more

We loved the ambiance of the Sparrows Lodge, with each room designed like a modern barn with comfortable furnishings and a lovely private outdoor sitting area. Plenty of loungers around the pool and outside of each room. Friendly staff greeted us when we arrived with a welcome drink in the barn/bar & made sure we had everything we needed. We love kids, but liked the fact that the accommodations were for 21 & up only. For the price, I expected a quiet room where we could truly relax. When we arr... Read more

The Sparrow Lodge aka The Barn, while serving lunch, only serves dinner a couple of nights a week so make reservations well in advance of your planned visit. One of the nights presents a chicken dish as the entrée and another night present a steak dish, both of which are marvelous. The dinners are a prix fixe, set menu. Alcoholic beverages are limited to wine. The format is a family style table where all of the guests get an opportunity to meet each other which is different and great fun. T... Read more

My wife and I were invited to Sparrows Lodge by some friends who've been raving about if for over a year. We were excited to go because our friends usually have great taste when it comes to such things. We passed right by it on the way over and so my buddy texted me a pic of the sign out front which you'd never see if you weren't looking for it. It was kinda cool in that it makes you feel like you need to be in the know to go there:) Once we walked through the front reception area of the resort... Read more

Tucked inside Sparrows Lodge is a charming secret garden and restaurant. The Lodge is easy to miss... look for a small sign with black sparrows and turn into the dirt parking lot. Entering the front door, you might still wonder whether you are in the right place... you step into a delightful living room space complete with fireplace, sofa, chairs and window seat overlooking a pool and guests lolling in the sun. The Barn is in the middle of the small property, just past the pool. The delightful... Read more

My husband and I stayed at the Sparrow‚??s Lodge in November. It is a perfect boutique hotel/resort for anyone staying in the area looking for peace and serenity. We spent most days lounging by the pool getting some sun and loved the atmosphere. The size of the hotel really allowed us to get to know the staff who are all fantastic and extremely attentive. They treat each other like family and do the same for their guests. Especially wanted to thank Levi and Johnny for taking good care of us. ... Read more

I've stayed at Sparrows a few times before and it's been OK. In fact, some things have even improved over time -- the fact they offer cooked food now is a step in the right direction. The staff are friendly and well-intentioned...that alone is a sign the owners care about their guests. But. The fact that you can hear everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - through the walls to the next room(s) next door to you is really annoying. We speak in whispers in the room because we know that if we can hea... Read more
