Our group of 8 adults stayed in this beautiful property for the third year running, but it's just not good enough. The bar service is really very slow and at times haphazard. We didn't try Azul restaurant for dinner after a bad experience last year. But Contigo, the independent restaurant on site was great, and they have a fun happy hour too. In the hotel, the rooms are nice, but amenities are random..no coffee or tea one day, no robes, although swiftly provided when requested, 3 shampoos but... Read more

I stayed here two nights using SPG points because it was close to family during a sad time. I made no use of the "resort" facilities as such. I was just seeking a quiet, comfortable place to sleep. The front desk cheerfully accommodated my request for a quiet location, away from road noise. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. The wi-fi worked very well. I have three minor gripes: 1) As in many hotel rooms I've been in, the clock was not set anywhere near the correct time. So I had to fig... Read more

The hotel is nice but needs a makeover as it is pretty dated. I arrived at 8pm and there was one person working at the front desk and three people in line. It took awhile to get checked in and the rooms are a good walk from the front desk. Bellman was nice enough to give me a ride on his golf cart with my bag. The hotel grounds are lovely but the restaurant I ate at had a really poor menu and the service was brutal. The waitress was nice but was covering the entire bar area by herself so some of... I booked the room 4 months in advance because of the attendance at the Gem Show. I'd stayed here for 10 years when the Centurion Show had it's presence in Tucson. I was never totally pleased but thought if I had an upper floor and paid the asking price as opposed to the show special I'd get a top floor room. I was told it would be "feather free" and a top floor. Upon arrival at the airport, I called to inquire about my top floor, suite. The young woman said she couldn't guarantee it until I... Read more

Room & bath - both very spacious, nicely appointed, good housekeeping. Spacious balcony/porch. 'Mountain view' was more like city view. If you care about your view, be picky about your room assignment. We were in G bldg which was close to main building. This resort is very spread out & somewhat isolated. Restaurant choices were disappointing. Dinner at Azul was poor & service slow. Dinner at Contigo was much better & service excellent. There's a Starbucks but it closes at 11 am! Poolsid... Read more

Westin La Paloma is a really great resort property to stay at. The layout of the property is really nice as well. On the resort property there is plenty to do, so you really don't have to leave the property if you don't want to.

This Westin resort was designed to be very appealing. Lots of free parking or valet is available. Great for families that enjoy the many pools. There is golf carts that staff use to deliver you and your luggage right to your modern accommodations. Our room had a very private balcony. Check out the Concierge service ask for Aida. She is Fantastic at finding out all the answers about every thing to do in Tucson. Aida makes you feel happy to be there.

Nice hotel. Check in was quick and easy. The only thing I don't like is getting to our room. After parking you have a long walk or you can wait for a golf cart ride to your room. The rooms are nice and spacious.

It was a nice hotel with a fantastic view from the lobby. That being said, we were quite disappointed with our room being in the "basement." The building with our room was built on the side of a hill, and the entrance to the room was the basement level. It felt like going into the dungeon. There was a sliding glass door on the other side with a couple chairs there, but the view was another building, and because that was not the keyed door we couldn't use it to leave and enter our room. Granted, ... Read more
