my girlfriend and I stayed here in the fall and were on the top floor " Air Supply" room. Rooms have always been pleasant and clean in my experience and it's nice to see a hotel that has some personality.

Over priced. Very noisy. No House guest parking. No breakfast option. Staff functioned but seemed disinterested. Room small but nice and bright. Black gunk came out of the Spa bath when operated. Better places in Flagstaff than this one.

Old Hotel in the Middle of Downtown Flagstaff. Lots of History there. I stayed in the John Wayne Suite on the 4th Floor. 3rd and 4th Floor rooms recommended, due to noise from Bar/band on Friday on First Floor. The Suite was nice as that it offers privacy-the bathroom separates the bedrooms. Many Restaurants and brew pubs in walking distance. Not a lot of parking, so get there early. Overflow parking available across the street. It's not the Ritz, but is lots of fun. The Front desk staff is very... Read more

I always like to stay in historic hotels & this one did not disappoint in that aspect. It is where you need to be to shop with a variety of restaurants nearby. The parking area is really small so you may have to park on the street so hopefully you can find a space close by. The rooms are named for the stars that stayed in them. We stayed in the Debbie Reynolds room which was great for watching the action on the street but not so great if you wanted to sleep. We were there a Saturday & Sunday nig... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Monte Vista for one night and had a really great time. How could we not stay in a haunted hotel? Well, we didn't get to stay in any of the fabled rooms. As far as I know, nothing notable happened in our suite except for the fact that I was wide awake for most of my stay. This was most likely because I was anticipating the ghost of a bellhop to knock at my door. Oh well. The room itself was quaint, and charming in an old fashioned way that I enjoyed. If ... Read more

This hotel more less stands at the centre of the older part of Flagstaff and is an imposing redbrick building from the 1920s, replete with bars and pool room There are music nights here and the lobby and public rooms feel quite authentic. Our bedroom on third floor was, however, warm (7degF outside) quiet and spacious, accessed by a modern lift. There is a small car park. The hotel does not serve food, but has a coffee bar. It is an easy stroll to find breakfast in the town. There is also in int... Read more

We stayed in this hotel on a Thursday night and were extremely pleased with the room we were assigned. It was on the 4th floor and the hotel clerk said it would be quiet because it was facing San Francisco Street. I thought that was a bit odd, but didn't give it any thought after seeing the room. It was large and comfortable and quaint! The hotel is in a perfect downtown location for dining and shopping. It wasn't until later in the evening that we discovered how noisy it was going to be. ... Great hotel if you're on a road trip Plenty of character and in the historic town centre. The rooms are a bit dark and not too spacious. no wardrobe to hang your cloths but heyho we're on a road trip and looking for laid back places to stay and this hits the spot full on. The bar is busy all day and best internet connection is in the lobby and bar area free parking is provided next to the hotel good restaurants are only a short walk away

I stayed at the Monte Vista on a Saturday night on a weekend that I was visiting my daughter at NAU. We stayed in the Presidential Sweet. The Monte Vista is a really interesting old hotel and a great place to stay. The hotel is in the center of the old section of Flagstaff and within easy walking distance to many restaurants and bars. There is a parking garage across the street for the car which is $10 per day. There were three issues: Two lights needed new bulbs which the front desk replaced r... Read more

We stayed at the Monte Vista for two nights and greatly enjoyed our stay. The history of the hotel and the other surrounding buildings was fascinating. There are a ton of great local eateries and bars all within walking distance. Parking is a little tight, but what else would you expect in a busy area. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. Flagstaff is such a unique city with a lot of history and this hotel is a great example of that.
