Very nice treatments but the upselling was annoying. This was not offered in advance but sprung on us. I was sharing a treatment room with a friend and it was awkward because we had no time to discuss in advance. The first upsell was to a hot stone or bamboo massage and the second to a micro abrasion facial, each at a cost of £10. There was then a sales push on a product on sale (oil at £21.) Whilst cute, it was VERY NOISY and not at all relaxing.

I had the "pleasure" to stay there and it reminded me on former hotel stays in London around 15 years ago. (I would also assume that's about the time the last "renovation" took place!). Too pricey combined with poor quality
(Bad) old-style, old-furnished hotel, little rooms and extremely small bathroom. I had also dinner downstairs and unfortunately also cannot recommend the food, even not "traditional" English Food.
The only positive during my short trip was the location and they have an bar/co...

I must have stayed here every week for 4 years. I love it here, the staff are great, the location is great, the rooms are comfortable and well laid out. Room service is prompt and there is a great selection for breakfast
The friendly staff really make you feel at home.

We stayed this weekend and had a lovely room, the staff were nice and the Pool and Gym very good. I booked this as the reviews said the food was good, but it was dreadful! On the DB&B rate you get the buffet or a limited set menu - both were awful. The burger was ok but on the second night that sold out so I went hungry. The Buffett sits for too long and is dreary and I did not like the limited choice, the main menu looked better but that was not an option on the deal. Stay but don't take th...

I stayed in this hotel for one night for business in Feb 2017. First impressions were that the hotel and room that I stayed in were fairly modern. It was immediately apparent that the air-con had a mind of its own and there was a door connecting my room and the next room (something that always makes my heart sink).
I ordered room service for dinner, which was very nice if not a little expensive.
On turning in, all night long the bed creaked and I could hear the occupant next door snoring and ...

Tried this hotel on a business trip as an alternative to others I have stayed in and won't be going back.
Delay and confusion at check-in --- after an approx 5 minute wait due to lack of staff I was told there were 2 bookings in my name. One prepaid for 2 nights (correct) and another for 3 nights (unpaid and incorrect).
Room was 'tired' fading carpets and worn chair.
TV channels limited - no BBC 2 ! - I had to call reception (not easy as phone engaged - see above about lack of staff at chec...

The free WiFi is slow and frequently disconnects at busy times.
I ate one evening meal in the bar area, the meal (pie, chips and mushy peas) was delivered very quickly so clearly not cooked to order. Mushy peas were dry, chips not as described on the menu, pie was fine.
Checkout -- again slow as only one member of staff at duty at 7.30 on a weekday.
Breakfast was OK but choice limited, and no obvious for freshly cooked omelettes or fried eggs.

I stayed in Hotel in JAN 2017 and found it to be excellent. The food was good and the staff were very helpful.The room was very large and clean and the facilities were good. We were there for my Mothers 80th birthday which was made very special.

Had some issue
Felt let down by the hilton standard.
No bath
No working fridge (house keeping did nothing)
No reply to 2 emails to manager of livingwell to book spa treatments (hiltons lose not mine)
DBB only 2 courses from a cheap laminated menu
Service charge added automatically to any drinks bill in the restaurant.

Visited for my birthday, we were a party of 6 and got a really good spa deal! The spa had what you expect - pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Our treatments were lovely and relaxing. The rooms were lovely, spacious with a lot of storage. Comfy beds and plump pillows. The bathroom was lovely with a great walk in shower and lit mirror. I liked that there were also speakers in there linked to the TV! Facilities were great and I couldn't have been happier with my birthday weekend. Thank you so much to all the staff especially the manageress of the restaurant who was extremely patient and welcoming to us!
