Stayed overnight at this holiday inn , the staff were very helpful, and friendly. The room itself was perfect for my disability needs, the room itself faced a main road , but on the whole , the traffic noise wasn't to bad at all, the bed was very comfortable , and I had a choice of soft or hard pillows, the tea and coffee facilities were a bit sparse , however to be honest , when I asked the staff for more tea milk and sugar a whole bag full of supplies was taken to my room . The in- room tv too... Read more

The standard at Holiday Inns seems inconsistent. I've stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses that are much, much better than this hotel, whose brand suggests should be better itself. The general impression of the hotel is that it is very tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. It's located in an industrial area and not in walking distance of Manchester city centre. There's a Chinese restaurant close by but otherwise I think you need to drive if you don't want to eat in the hotel. The tw... Read more

Checked in no problem, no acknowledgement that I was a rewards member though, no mention that the bar was closed/ getting refurb., Ate in the restaurant which was like a dentists waiting room, soulless depressing place, freezing cold, waited 15 mins to get a drink. Given a room on the main road and noise from the traffic was bad, needs triple glazing, terrible pillows, then the next morning wanted £13.99 for a breakfast. I've stayed in better travel lodges for half the price, check out the park... Read more

It was my second stay in holiday inn after first being at brooklyn new york, it has been horrible experience both the times. This hotel at manchester didnt have plain water for drinking, can you imagine. Instaf of floor manager showing courtesy to arrange atleast drinking water simply said not in stock. Had to go to tesco at midnight to fetch water. Breakfast was horrible again. Not much to offer. Simply horrible and i think holiday inn chain is in airs. Will never stay or recommend anyone.

We were given the hotel booking as part of a Christmas gift from our daughters. The hotel was in a terrible location and although they had asked for an hotel near to the Manchester theatres, it was actually miles away and smack in the middle of an industrial estate. We have stayed in many hotels worldwide and have never experienced the level of noise during the night as on this occasion. There was loud music from around 4am and this was made even worse when gangs of young men were shouting, sing... Read more

The hotel is situated a little out of town;it's not really walkable as they're main roads so a car is necessary. Parking is free and very secure with a locked gate only accessible through a buzzer, you give your name and room and if your details are correct you are allowed access. The room was nice, big enough for a pushchair and carrycot. The bed was very comfy and you get two huge pillows each. We were a little unlucky with the bathroom, the toilet wouldn't flush properly as the cistern wouldn... Read more

I and my family stayed in the hotel for one night during our roadtrip across the UK. I consider my experience in the hotel was just unlucky. I stayed in room 11 on the ground floor to found that the shower handle is broken plus the water flow was overly little. The bathtub even smelled bad. In the other hand, the rest of my family seemed not to have problem at all. So, for whoever wanted to stay at the hotel, make sure you check the rooms thouroughly by the time you checked in. The service tha... Read more

I stayed here for one night on a business trip up to Manchester. Perfectly adequate. We checked in at 2pm and both booked rooms were available. A taxi to the centre of town arrived on time having been called by the hotel, so that good news.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip to Manchester, my room was located on the ground floor and I thought it was fine. What I did not realise was that I would be woken up at about 5 in the morning by traffic noise, the room was about 10 yards away from a busy road. Had I realised this I would have asked for a room change. Breakfast was fine and good quality produce was served. When booking this room try and get a room on the car park side.
