Location wise this is obviously perfect if you are flying from or to Gatwick. It is a smart, comfortable hotel which will well suit the needs of anyone stayng there. The room was comfortable and clean, and completely noise proof - you would have no idea you were next to a busy airport. The restaurant also provided a decent selection of food options, although was somewhat pricey. Similarly the bar is priced as if it is part of the airport. One complaint is that at £20 a night the parking charge... Read more

My husband booked this though APH with the parking & we stayed the night before we went on holiday. On arrival to the hotel the check in process was very quick, helpful happy staff. The room was very nice , very hot water , bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp white cotton sheets. Free wifi & tea & coffee We ate in the restaurant & again the staff where lovely & the food was also very nice. We where asked if we needed a alarm call, it's a good job we set our own as we didn't get one ( ... Read more

Stayed there boxing day for early flight. The room smelled like wet laundry left in the washing machine, food was not cheap at all but ok. Shuttle to airport was suppose to pick us up at 5.37 and we didn't get picked up 6.00 am, they forgot to give us the right timetable?

My experience of the Crowne Plaza was nothing special by far, for a start the bar and floor members in the dining area were very unresponsive and I waited nearly an hour for food, which wasn't even of a very good standard and arrived slightly cold for my liking. The reception staff were friendly, but I don't really have anything positive to say. service was slow and there was not a wide choice of beers on tap, and not many cocktails to choose from, and I would like it if I didn't have to open a ... I booked a double bed with sofa bed and was given a cramped single bed room, when I insisted on a change of room this was sorted out with a family room as the room type booked was not available. Dinner was very poor (as a result the second day we went out for dinner) I ordered grilled chicken with hand cut chips and peppercorn sauce; I was presented with oven chips over cooked dry chicken and a non-descript liquid without a hint of pepper. Breakfast was no better - ordered poached eggs, these we... Read more

A hotel and party venue on the outskirts of Crawley/Gatwick. Plenty of parking, don't forget to let reception have your car registration though. Good size rooms and ease of access throughout the place. Very courteous and friendly staff. The bar is quite expensive, and the dance floor quite small for the size of the room. The disco was a good mix of music and a good night was has by all.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Whilst it is comfortable enough for one night before travelling, it lets itself down badly by poor maintenance of the rooms which are fairly shabby. The money all goes into the reception and dining areas although meals are not exactly cheap. The staff bend over backwards to give good service despite the poor accommodation. It's also not very close to the airport and dropping your car and catching the bus will take up to an hour.

This is a good solid airport hotel. Shuttle service is less frequent than other hotels (once every 30 mins) and it is a little further out than some. Cost £3 per person... Hotel is just what you w ound expect from the crowne plaza brand. This visit was a club room which was well appointed if a little difficult to find. Access to the Lounge is a welcome add on but complementary hors d'oeuvres were very poor quality. Sleep quality was excellent followed by a reasonable buffet breakfast with ... Read more

Yes, it is a hotel airport insofar as it has all the characteristics. That is it has a parking deal, it is overheated, over priced, under staffed and has tatty and small rooms intended for one night only. And I am thankful that we stayed only one night even eschewing the chance to stay overnight on the return despite our flight landing at 11pm and facing a 2 hour drive home. No, it is nt really a hotel airport insofar as it is a 15 minute taxi ride to departures. Some people may see that as ... Read more
