Visited with friends and was looking forward to the haddock but disappointed it wasn‚??t on the menu; the menu bore no resemblance to what is shown on their website; very limited choice; ‚??Real Fish Fingers‚?? headed the menu! ‚?? what exactly is ‚??Real Fish Fingers‚?? this is more what you would expect on a children‚??s menu; another option was lamb sausages and mash; which one member of our group opted for; we did ask if haddock was available and after a while was told we could have it so ... Took my family for a special meal party of 12 and embarrassed and angry we were told when ordering that some of the dishes were not available. This happened the last time we visited this restaurant. If a hotel provides a menu it should not then inform customers that meals are not available. The service was a little rushed and all in all quite expensive for the quality of food we received.

I am very late writing this review as I stayed here in Nov. But it is such a wonderful it deserves my review. My adult daughter and I arrived early for check in (mid morning) but hoped for early access to our rooms. We had traveled 39 hours (yes we took the looong route) and we couldn't have been better looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and each and every staff member was wonderfully helpful. We had arrived just after the birth of my granddaughter and everyone was excited for us. ... Read more

Big thank you to all at the Old Manor Hotel. Room was lovely and the veranda and view great. Came for a 4 night relaxing break, mission accomplished. The breakfasts were great and so set you up for a day walking. Restaurant food Friday evening was amazing, Flat Iron steak... wow!! All the staff made us so welcome and very friendly. Looking forward to going back. If you don't get a chance to stay, a must is their Sunday Carvery. Thanks again for a fabulous stay ū???

Went for afternoon tea which was £13.95 a head, for which we got a tuna or egg mayo sandwich each (not exactly inspiring) a bit of toast with ham or salmon, a 5p sized scone and a couple of Christmas themed novelty tiny cakes. Oh and a cracker and lots of tea or coffee. For a few pounds extra we could have had a 3 course meal elsewhere! Poor value for money and very overpriced. On a plus side the staff were helpful and attentive.

Afternoon Tea with friends was £13.95 per head for one small sandwich - egg mayo or tuna mayo, one and a half 5cm diameter cold toast disc with smoked salmon or ham on top. Micro scone(!), tiny cup cake, less than one tiny macaroon each and a third share of a piece of soft shortbread. Plenty tea and coffee though and helpful waiting staff. We were disappointed that it didn't include a glass of sparkling wine and were told it was not included in the "festive afternoon tea". We have had many bett... Read more

From the friendly greeting at reception to the waiting staff you are made to feel welcome by everyone. The bedroom was spacious, clean and well appointed. I ate there in the evening and the meal was very, very good and the breakfast was a feast. I have stayed in many four star hotels that do not match this for quality and service.

Hubby and I stayed for 1 Saturday night, the hotel is in a stunning position overlooking the famous Lundon Links golf course and the beach, we had our dog with us and really enjoyed walking on the beach. We were in a standard room which was roomy and comfortable, the bathroom was a little dark and 70's looking with a coloured suite but served its purpose! If we stay here again I will go for an upgraded room and request a sea view. However, where we were was handy for the dog. We had coffee and s... Read more

We spent one night here recently. It was very quiet as one might expect at this time of year. However, the staff were engaging and helpful, the facilities excellent and the food very good. Well priced, our stay represented excellent value for money.

Booked in for one nights stay, greeting at reception by CJ was excellent full of hotel information took us round facilities making sure we were happy in our surroundings. Our room was a very good size large bed with en suite complete with good size bath. The cleanliness of the room and throughout the hotel was to an exceptional standard which a lot of establishments would love to achieve. We dined in the conservatory dining room, again greeted by a friendly member of staff who with some colleag... Read more
