First time we had been to the Hotel and had a meeting in the Terrace. The venue was very cold, but it was early so we thought it would just take time to heat up. An hour and a half later still cold! We decided to have lunch after the meeting and attempted to order soup. Staff didn??t know what soup was on offer and we asked 2 members of staff the same question but neither knew nor cared. We never got a response and informed the staff member how poor the service was. No interest. We complained t... Read more

I picked this hotel primarily for it's proximity to the Oran Mor, a venue which I was attending one evening in November. I had also stayed here sometime a few years back. I'd booked a deluxe double room for the evening, at a reasonable price. Check in was fine, a friendly gentleman was efficient. The inside of the hotel was clean, attractive, and also seemed to have a nice 'christmassy' smell about it. My room was good. Spacious enough, very clean, modern and well appointed. It was a couple ... Read more

Staff great. Expensive though for what you get. Rooms clean but doors scraped and chipped really badly. Restaurant cold. Bar cold. Breakfast cold. At £250 pn you expect to be able to relax in a warm environment. The room was warm. Lasting memory cold.

We stayed 3 nights, first night people were banging on room doors until the early hours of the morning, second night room doors were banging until 0245 hrs when I had to complain. When booking out of the hotel was not asked how our stay was. In the room there was no double glazing on windows condensation running down windows. Very disappointed.

Room was disappointing - no safe, no mini-bar, no fridge (as a diabetic, I need to keep my insulin cold), no free bottle of water. Room was old and dated Breakfast room opened only at 7am, and I needed to leave by 7am each day for the conference I was attending (it is a 15-20 min taxi ride to the conference center in Glasgow, so not a good choice if you are attending SEC conference)

Let me start by saying that, on arrival for a 2-night stay in late October, I was suffering from a bad cold that meant I was coughing, sneezing & dripping most of the time, so I probably wasn't as objective as I usually am. My wife & I were in Glasgow to attend a wedding, which was being held about a mile away from the hotel. When I booked, I didn't realise that breakfast was NOT included in the room-rate, which made for a fairly expensive stay. We took note of dire warnings about there being li... Read more

Having stayed there on several occasions, this was the first time we felt that it was a little tired. The room we had was not quite up to the expected Hilton standards and the general feeling of the place has become pretty impersonal.
