I stayed at the Campanile on Wednesday 8th February 2017 for an overnight stay with dinner and Scottish breakfast. I was a bit wary, with what on the whole seemed a lot of negative views. The hotel was a 3 minute walk from the Hydro, just over the road in fact. The hotel was pleasant enough, the staff were very friendly, the food was to an ok standard although could have been a bit hotter. Cleanliness of the hotel was ok, dust on the top of pictures, hey ho. How it could be improved....... Mo... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for one night as we were goin to a show in the hydro. Receptionist was lovely and cheery on checking us in. The room was a bit small but you only sleep in it. It did have a bit of a musty smell but was OK after opening window. Never heard any noise at night very quiet. Breakfast looked good but was cold. Receptionist in the morning was lovely called us a taxi to train station.on arriving home I discovered I had left my keys in room telephoned hotel and the Receptionist was ... Read more

Thank goodness for the staff and location!! Staff were brilliant I can't knock them, we stayed here for 4 night, we were working at the secc so location was great, rooms are extremely dated and there were some interesting smells coming through the extractors in the bathroom, sewage was the general smell. I wouldn't choose to stay here again unless it was updated I would rather go to premier inn which is a shame cause staff were as I said great!!

Visit to Glasgow for show at SEC,was looking for a good hotel near the venue and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived everything went smoothly, we never had any problems, but if we had i'm sure they would have been solved very quickly. All facilities are first class, the restaurant was very good so we had breakfast and evening meal every day! Room very clean and tidy, beds firm but comfortable and very little noise. Will go back to this hotel in the future, All the staff were ver... Read more

had the mis-fortune of staying in this hotel over 2 nights Friday/Saturday , total disgrace of the hospitality industry .... shocking service in the bar, no change in tills, had to pay for drinks with bank cards, the rooms are clean although very basic, never ate here but by what I seen getting put out,,, that was a lucky escape, next time I'm going to see a show at the hydro or secc, will stay in the city centre and get a taxi,,,,never again will I set foot in this hotel

I wouldn't stay in this hotel again £116 for miserable rude bar staff...you couldn't hear the receptionist for the music blaring out ...this followed through to the restaurant you couldn't each other talk for football blaring .....the food was what tasted like frozen microwave meals ....the plus points it's only 1 minute to the hydro!!!!!

Visited here during an exhibition at the near by SECC. The location is the best aspect of this hotel. The food is challenging and mediocre. The room we had was spacious but we heard others complain of small sizes. The bathroom was adequate, but the shower too powerful and uncontrollable. A problem with the cleanliness of the water was fixed promptly but why was it allowed to become brown and dirty in the first place. We slept well and the late check out is welcome, but with some investment... Read more

Booked a room for my daughter and myself. As per the booking they knew it was one adult and a child. This however did not stop them putting us in a room in between rooms of people who thought it was acceptable in the middle of the night to shout, swear, play loud music, bang and clatter the furniture in their rooms and run about the corridors and banging on doors! I phoned reception and the guy would take a wander up! Whether he did or not I'm not sure but the disruption did not stop. I le... Read more

Stayed here for a weekend break in January 2017 Pros Location is superb for hydro, Secc, Armadillo and science centre. Ideal for gigs and shows at the above. Fast service and check in and check out. Breakfast is good quality and warm. Rooms are clean and good for a short weekend break. Cons Noisey location due to building works nearby. Smelly drain system meant room was smelling of sewage, we complained and got complementary breakfast. However unable to move room due to fully booked. Rooms are... Read more

Dreadful from start to finish. Started badly when we were not allowed to check in prior to 2pm which meant we could not charge bar items to the room. Service in the bar was dreadful with the most sullen rude service ever. Once we eventually got checked in the rooms were very disappointing. We had booked two rooms with interconnecting doors to allow for much girly nonsense... Triple room consisted of double bed and sofa bed which meant no room to move around the room. Sofa bed was not made ... Read more
