We flew into Newcastle from Spain and booked into Ravensdene Lodge because it was handy for a wedding venue we were going to in Jesmond, Newcastle, Metro Centre and Newcastle for Shopping and also our family live within a very short drive from here. Ravensdene was reasonable priced and didn't really know what to expect. Our expectations were superseded from every aspect. Unfortunately I took ill on our journey from Spain and every member of staff were absolutely amazing for the three days I... Read more

Did the trick, ok for one night however I wouldn't use the bathroom as it was dirty so wouldn't stay more than a night. Cheap and cheerful, friendly staff. Wouldn't take your date there but for a few friends on a weekend of drinking it was all you needed ???

Decent stay - room was clean and big. - Staff fairly abrasive - rang to ask if I could check in half an hour early and they said it was fine, did a detour to get there only to be told It depends on what room I was in. Bed was v small, room was booked for two people but only I was staying - for me it was fine but would have been impossible for 2 people. Generally though, was miles cheaper than anything city centre, perfectly functional, close to centre. Would recommend for a nuts and bolts hot... Read more

All 6 of my friends and I went here for a birthday, hotel was abit further out of town than I thought and taxi's were about £10. Although very basic hotel it was good for what we needed it for! Had comfy beds and a shower. Food was also good.

Hotel is quite, looks like dorm rooms down the halls , rooms are basic with a box tv freeview , 3 beds ,3 towels and a kettle with 3 teabags. if youre staying for night out Newcastle taxi fair in the day is about £7 only goes up to around £10 at night. they do a buffe of breakfast on a morning, not as bad as everyone makes out rooms are clean and tidy.
