We stayed at the Ben Nevis Hotel and Leisure Club for one night. We didn't realise the rooms were in another building and had to go outside to get to our room, we'd have preferred to be in the main hotel and would have requested this if we'd known beforehand. We stayed in a Classic room and the room we got needs updating, the bathroom was very small and old. The room was very hot but we turned the heating down so it was fine. No electric shower, it's a shower connected to the tap but it work... Read more

The exterior and reception areas of this hotel are well presented and the staff were friendly enough but I cannot really recommend this hotel based on the room. The decoration is sparse and old with rips in the wallpaper and cracks in the paint. The radiator didnâ??t work and the plumbing woke me at 5am with screeching pipes and rumbling. The bathroom sorely needs an update. I felt like it was stuck in the 1970s. The coach load of pensioners however seemed to be very happy and looked after.

Even though the property was good looking and the rooms neat, I'm unable to mention the good bits first as the very thought of my experience makes me shiver, well literally. My family booked this hotel through booking.com after seeing the reviews but were left rather disappointed on two counts; one being the general maintenance of the rooms given to us and the passive attitude of the front office personnel. This property is a quaint property well at least the block we are put in was that way. On... Read more

Stayed 8th till 11th Nov and have to say wow all round. You have to factor in what you pay to the quality of the deal and this was outstanding value. Although the hotel was heaving because of Royal Marines reunion we were still catered for in all areas. Hotel is in main road so easily accessible just out of town but within 10 min walking. Food was really good and breakfast was outstanding. Bar was busy with great staff and made good use of pool/spa facilities. Everywhere in the hotel was warm as... Read more

Good location, easy access to all locations around Fort William, enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again. Although never used pool it looks clean and well maintained, breakfast was excellent, very filling, we didn't have an evening meal we wandered into the town but other guest seemed very happy. Good value for money.

A large and very good hotel which is in an ideal location for touring around this wonderful area. Staff were great and all meals were tasty and god selection of menu options. Facility has spa, gym, etc but we did not use them. Breakfast included in room costs so was much appreciated.

Had a 4 night stay with our grandson aged 14 as we were climbing some of the mountains in Glencoe. We had a triple room which although small was adequate, clean and tidy with comfortable beds and a good shower. The breakfast buffet was extensive and we didnt have to waste time waiting to be served and could get out quickly in the mornings. The choice of evening meals was excellent. We found the staff friendly, efficient and professional. The hotel was good value for money and although it was a bit of... This hotel is very big, more suitable for groups than individuals. The indoor swimming pool is clean although rather small considering the number of rooms. The service is efficient, but no so friendly.

Stayed at the Ben Nevis Hotel mid-October when the Royal National Mod was on in Fort William. Four Gaelic Choirs were also staying here at the time, so it was pretty busy. The hotel is tired and whilst in the process of being modernised and updated, some of the rooms are definitely in need of a lick of paint, having the toilet seats replaced and making sure that electrical sockets are secured on the wall. There were roadworks taking place outside the hotel at night which went on after midnig... Read more

My daughter (10) and I stayed here during a driving tour of Scotland. I picked it specifically because it had a pool and I knew that would be a treat for her. The pool is fine (comes with a hot tub, steam room and sauna as well). Other than that, feels very much like a Motel 6. Beds are old and uncomfortable. Walls and ceiling are paper thin (ask for a top floor room unless you want to hear everyone moving upstairs). Bar food wasn't bad but didn't try the full restaurant. Big plus for bei... Read more
