Walls like a newspaper. You could hear your neighbours loud and clear. Rooms very small and in bad condition. It looked reasonable at the pictures but in real it was horrible. Unfriendly staff behind the reception. Actually the worst hotel I stayed in.

The Fort William & District Branch, Royal British Legion Scotland wish to thank Maggie and all of the staff of the hotel for making our evening such a huge success. From the very outset Maggie assisted with our planning and was able to accommodate all of our needs and short notice revisions. Everyone in our party said that they had enjoyed the evening and were looking forward to our next event, which we are already planning to hold at the hotel.

just back from a night from here, was very impressed with the hotel, firstly young girl who welcomed us was really nice albeit a bit robotic in telling us the the layout of the hotel, probably had to say the same things many times a day so cant really blame her,the hotel room was just fine for us ,(3 adults) plenty of space, beds comfortable. The leisure club was brilliant, the facilities were first class,we used the gym, pool, hot tub and the steam room, with this also being a members leisure club the e... Good value Hotel and leisure club Their breakfast (buffet) includes bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, potato scone, hash brownies, black pudding, haggis, fried egg, scrambled egg - and fruit, croissants, toast, cereal etc etc.. Dinner fine. Prices good - if booking via the package deals (eg 3 nights D B&B). Slightly tired feel: Popular with coach tours

I write this review haveing stayed a night in this fine establishment. We arrived mid day and booked in given very useful information at the desk and off we went to our room. We were astonished at the cleanliness of the room and also the modern yet classic touch to the decor. It was not long before we went to explore the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room and we were very impressed by the services provided ideal to wind down in a relaxing environment after a hard day on the hills. The evening m... Read more

Spend another fantastic New Year at the Ben. Great to see the rooms are constantly under refurbishment. Food, service, staff exceptional. Had a fantastic time. Hogmonay was brilliant - really felt we had celebrated the New Year. David (reception) - you are an absolute star and go above and beyond to make sure that all the guests are having a great time (even during the fire alarm). Put us down for 2017 and also 2018! Met old friends and made some new ones. Cannot recommend this en... Read more

This is absolutely brilliantly located if you are hiking Ben Nevis. 5 mins drive and when you have walked and climbed for 9 hours that is a welcome treat. Rooms spotless, breakfast fresh and lots to choose from. Food in bar pretty good but I felt drink prices a bit saucy. Staff all lovely. Great value for money. Bed and breakfast. Would definitely go back.

Having spent the New Year in at this hotel I just have to say an excellent time was had by all in my company. The rooms we were allocated although not together were of excellent quality. The ensuite in each was excellent, clean and towels supplied each day. Coffee and tea facilities were available with plenty supplies available. Dining was of exceptional quality and quantity especially the Bucksfest Brunch ( Wow ). Entertainment was to our company's liking as it was Scottish/Ceilidh type with pl... Read more

Maggie and all the staff at the Hotel made our Christmas party an exceptional evening, the food and service were faultless. We have now booked a Burns Supper evening with the Hotel, and also looking to book our party for Dec 2017.

We stayed here for one night but it wasn't in the main building! We were past the pool in a room downstairs next to a set of swinging doors which were very noisy and woke us up early with other guests leaving the building. We were also kept up most the night with a lot of noise from upstairs, music and the sound of people partying. On leaving I asked if it was the staff quarters which I was told it was not. We will not be using this hotel again.
