Stayed with my partner for three nights. Had a brilliant time. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room had everything needed for a city break. Breakfast in the morning was great value at £8 if booked the night before. Excellent location for seeing the city - would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on Friday night, we got a great itison deal £72 for DBB for 2 people. Given the cost my expectations were not high but I was very pleasantly surprised, the room was lovely & spacious and amazingly quiet given location. The food was great but most of all the staff were fantastic. Kirsty at reception made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We even got free car parking in the city centre. I would highly recommend a visit!

Great price for a great hotel! We got there late at night and were greeted by the staff. They were incredibly nice, polite and helpful. The food, while the selection is small, is delicious and freshly made (you must try the toffee pudding). The bedrooms were very comfortable, I slept amazingly and even though we were in the center of Edinburgh, I couldn't hear a thing that was going on outside. Would stay in this hotel again.

This is a fantastic hotel for a great price. Picked it because it was near a tourist bus site - 2minutes walk away and it didn't disappoint. Lovely well appointed rooms, friendly, genuine staff. Great services nearby - supermarket, cafes, restaurants. Fresh cooked breakfast if you wanted it. Would highly recommend it!

Happened to find this accommodation via a site not used before. Not our usual type of place ( we like cosy B&Bs) but the deal appeared to offer a lot for an amazingly reasonable price so took it. Overall, very happy, lovely building ( old hospital, which was a surprise ) well located, a 15 minute walk from Waverley but in a very pleasant area with lots of eateries / pubs to suit all budgets. Absolutely lovely room, very well equipped, quite quirky, very comfortable and absolutely no outside... Read more

We came to Edinburgh as a group of 14 (7 couples) and were very pleased with the hotel and especially the staff! The room was of a good size and everything worked as it should have. The bar downstairs is quite small especially when a group of 14 turns up but the staff quickly made room for us in the adjoining breakfast room without a fuss. The breakfast is good with a variety of hot and cold offerings. Would I stay here again? Yes.

Had 3 nights in Edinburgh on business and was booked into this hotel by our travel company. It's a bit of a walk from the main city centre, but very quiet for it. A warm and friendly reception, nothing was too much trouble for Ayla, who was a star throughout my stay. Bedroom was small but perfectly adequate, with a good comfy bed. Good restaurant menu with an early bird fixed price being excellent value for money. Another star is Aga, waitress. Again she was friendly and helpful throughout. Brea... Read more

Stayed one night for the night before NYE as we had tickets for the Paulo Nutini pre NYE show. Good location and reasonable price for what we needed, close to the Waverly Station, (20min walk), and a 10min walk to the Princes Street Gardens for the concert, 5mins to the Grassmarket. The check in ladies were very helpful, and also explained that the bar was 24hours. Room was comfortable and quiet, which is what we needed for a quick whistles top night in Edinburgh.

Loved my stay here!!! Easy to find, easy to book online. The staff are friendly and were very helpful to me in getting around the city. The room I had was clean and the bed was very comfy. Free wifi allowed me to further plan my daily activities and check in with home. Only thing I wish they had was American football on the TV. Thank you for making my first stay in Edinburgh a comfortable one.

I stayed here with friends in March. We got a fantastic room only deal and weren't expecting much. We were more than pleasantly surprised. Beautiful, large, modern, well kept rooms. Great location. The other side of the castle than most hotels but only a short walk to amenities. Comfortable beds. We didn't have breakfast but enjoyed drinks from the bar. Would recommend for families, friends or couples alike.
