Good hotel, very comfortable stay, room large, well appointed and v.clean, great night's sleep and friendly welcome. Only thing I was a bit disappointed with was size of bath, which wasn't full size. I'd booked by phone, partly to help the hotel avoid an agency fee and specifically to check if the bathroom actually had a proper bath, and was reassured it did. I was really looking forward to a morning soak, but couldn't have it in such a small tub. Oh the first world problems we grumble about, ... Read more

Stayed for 2 nights between xmas and new year. This hotel is excellent and very high standard. I paid 95 quid and felt it was great value considering the location to the city centre. I parked smack outside of the front door, the lobby area is lovely, the room was lovely and couldn't fault it. It is a good 20 minutes walk to Princes street. I would recommend and will return again. Final thing is that there is a great bar downstairs which serves food - we ait here twice and it was stunning.

I thought this hotel was excellent value. Large , comfortable well equipped room . Staff are friendly and helpful and the food and drinks we had in the bar were very acceptable. Very handy for The Meadows. Walk into town or get the bus on the road outside. Lots of cafes restaurants nearby. Would definitely use again.

Our first stay at this hotel but it definitely won‚??t be our last. Very comfortable accommodation , extremely clean, helpful staff and a room rate of only ¬£70 per night. A good location with good transport links and within walking distance of the city centre. Parking and good Wi-fi highly recommended

A nice hotel close to the city centre with access to all the visitor attractions. Excellent breakfast and evening meal if you choose to eat in the restaurant. The only downside to this hotel is the limited parking, if you don't get a space you have to pay to park on the road.

Arrived at The Best Western Bruntsfield just after midnight and hadn't booked, (delayed flight into Edinburgh). We were still accommodated and got to bed soon after arriving. Nice enough room, bed quite squashy for myself but horses for courses etc. Clean and fresh apart from the two body hairs in the shower, one on shower curtain, one in bath. There were 5 pieces of furniture in this room and 2 chairs and a table which almost cramped the room, but I guess if you were staying for a week they ... Read more

Have stayed here on many occasions and it never disappoints. This time we had a gorgeous spacious room complete with roll top bath. Arrived early and although unable to check in we were able to leave our car in the car park. Staff very friendly, nice dinner & breakfast, super comfy bed and high standard of cleanliness. What more could you ask for? Will definitely stay again.

We went to edinburgh for a short three day break. This hotel is absolutely lovely. We checked in and the girl on reception had a few people in front of us and called for some help. Check in took literally mins which after a 10 hr drive was very welcome. The young lady was very helpfull. The hotel is a grand old place with a nice charm. We had breakfast included for one morning which was superb. We would have loved it for the three days but at £15 per head thats £30 for what we had was a po... Read more

I booked the Bruntsfield BW at a tough time for me, with my girlfriend having left the country and feeling a bit alone in the city. One of her parting gifts to me was the money for a hotel room with a bathtub, as I have really missed having one in my new flat (which only has a tiny shower). I mentioned this in the comments when booking the hotel and the room I was given was beyond my wildest dreams - I presume they must have upgraded me without saying, as there's no way this was purely a "standa...
