Stayed one night on a B&B basis which included the use of the pool, steam room and jacuzzi. Our room was very spacious and well very equipped. The pool was warm and large enough to be able to swim lengths. We didn‚??t have any treatments this time but the treatment area / rooms appeared to be well equipped and calming. The hotel itself was in very good order ans set in beautiful grounds which included a super looking golf course. Staff were all very friendly and very efficient. Breakfast was buf... Read more

35 members and partners booked the Mediterranean buffet lunch. How disappointing. Food was bland and lots of oil. Pieces of fish were so over cooked so they were hard and dry. Crusty bread ran out and it took 10 minutes to replace. So many of our group kept asking but just got told it‚??s coming. One female server/wait staff said in a very aggressive voice to one of our ladies. ‚??Madam I am calling a table at a time‚??. Inferring she should go back to her seat and wait. Waited ages to g... My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night as part of a SpaBreaks deal, which was amazing value for money! The Prosecco Afternoon Tea was lovely as was our experience in the Restaurant for dinner. We had both a Neck, Back and Shoulder Massage aswell as the Mud Therapy, both were great and the Mud Therapy was a laugh! Overall very good experience and all the facilities are great.

I had the G&T package which I feel was great value The afternoon tea with gin and tonic was fantastic (see my picture) and by far the best I have had. The staff in the reception and in the afternoon tea room had great character and were very helpful. The room had sky sports on the tv which was great as it meant I coukd watch the big game during my stay to! Breakfast was great with a large offering. The facilities and pool were also very nice! Just a couple of things that stopped me gi... Read more

We were a small group of 6 golfers and took advantage of the dinner, bed and breakfast deal with golf. Rooms are pleasant, with plenty of hanging space and drawers. Tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent, as was the included dinner which allows for a choice of starter, main and dessert from the a la carte menu. All the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Bar drinks and wine were reasonably priced. Golf was also good with both courses in good condition. An absolutely... Read more

All the staff here are lovely, enthusiastic and helpful. Great comfortable beds. But skimps on things like décor. It looks rather faded in the corridors and bathroom floor was uneven and the bath damaged. Poor supply of tea in the room. Food in the restaurant was fine but nothing special so that was a bit disappointing. Spa and pool are good but times when children can swim is limited and the changing room was cold.

This is the second time we have been to a Sunday lunchtime carvery at the Stoke by Nayland Hotel celebrating a friend‚??s birthday. There is a lunch menu including a carvery. However, it is a poor excuse for a carvery - a choice of 2 meats, beef and turkey, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, carrots, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Not even any mash or green vegetables and the roast potatoes were rock hard. The service was slow. I had a gin/tonic and my glass was dirty on the outside. The me... Read more

Stayed for one night, room was good etc, however I ate in the restaurant and was highly disappointed, steak for nearly £20 was awful chewy and I spat out nearly every bite, my friends main was a massive let down and I was appalled at the prices of the food compared to quality. Recommend the hotel but defiantly not the restaurant.

Fabulous experience for our 20th wedding anniversary & my husbands birthday. Wonderful room overlooking the golf course, delicious afternoon tea served by friendly and attentive staff. Sumptuous dinner, breakfast and snack before we departed. Great massage, golf & spa facilities. Not only is this venue perfect for a relaxing breakfast what really makes it perfect is the staff. Everyone we encountered could not do enough for us. We will definitely return. Thanks for a perfect stay.

Attended a wedding of my friend's son and also enjoyed a round of golf. The room was a good size and comfortable. The food was bland but ok for a large hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The golf course was in a good condition and enjoyed playing a round. However, I recommend a golf buggy as there is lots of walking. Overall a good week-end break.
