I stayed here for 2 nights with family in August 2017. Both rooms were disgusting and dirty, the duvet was covered in stains, the bathroom and sanitary wear had not been cleaned, the pipes in the bathroom were rusty and had a sign saying unsafe!! The pipes in the bathroom in one of our rooms was leaking which presented a health hazard as a pool of water was constantly gathered on the floor. There was no cold water in one of the rooms, only boiling hot water and therefore we were unable to ... Read more

Stayed at this hotel in October. The staff are room and don't understand what you are saying. Booked the room beforehand and they hadn't done it. The room was damp and filthy, with a strange picture of Marilyn Monroe in. Breakfast was paid for but we never got it in the morning. Awful!

This Hotel occupies a superb position across from Brighton Pier, it is convenient for busses in both directions up and down the coast, and for other destinations in and around the city. I have had three visits here with National Holidays, and although not bad value for money, the hotel badly needs a complete refurbishment, as it is shabby. For example the decoration is poor, and some carpets in a sorry condition. My single room ( 226 ) resembled a prison cell, the bed against the wall, and not e... Read more

Got a bargain on a Friday evening , cheaper than a taxi home after a night out. We were on the road side and very noisy as no double glazing so they whack the heat up to compensate for the chill ! Also thin walls so a tad noisy but overall pleasant enough for what you pay for.

One of many walking breaks where the room is incidental to the overall break so a room is a room usually. The rooms here were in the basement, with no windows, and poor ventilation. The decor was average and the bed comfortable so in terms of my goal, adequate. But for the price, difficult not to feel hard done by. No room meant claustrophobic and poor ventilation meant oppressive. My friend had the hinge of the corridors swing doors on the corner of her room meaning sleep between 1am and 6am wa... Read more

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in to date. My friend and I stayed in Royal Albion Hotel in August 2017. After checking in, we decided to have a short nap (only one hour, if that) during which time someone entered our room and decided to steal some of our belongings (we collectively lost items worth over £1,500.00). For the past two months, I have tried to work with the hotel to recover some of these costs. They have, however, tried to merely state some kind of Act to limit their cost to £1... Read more

Second visit here!! Brilliant location, helpful friendly staff. Room with sea view on top floor was lovely, yes it's a little dated, but it's clean and tidy. Hot water, lovely shower. Nice buffet style breakfast Lovely bar area with reasonably priced drinks..... Can't wait to return

We waited 30 minutes in the queue to be checked in for our stay. When we eventually got to the front desk, there was no apology for the wait or a reason as to why two front desk operators were doing nothing the entire time the queue was building up. When we got in to the hotel room we saw a questionable stain on the dated sofa bed and were shocked by how rock solid the beds were. £109 for one night which was an absolute nightmare leaving us with sore backs and a bad night sleep.

on arrival, it seemed shabby and in dire need of an update, and a decidedly dodgy character booking in next to us. whilst we were booking in, the chap next to us was complaining that the room he'd been moved to was so hot it was ridiculous, and despite having the window wide open and fan on, it wouldn't cool down. we were allocated room 43, it was a basement room, and it was a dump, it was also damp, with big patches of wet on the walls coming down from the ceiling. the paint on the walls was ... One night stay on a Saturday night. Booked a "superior" double, which had views of the sea, which was nice. Look, great location right on the seafront and almost opposite the pier (the one still standing!) and Brighton is a hoot and also has lots of really nice cafes, toys shops, nook and crannies and eateries, but one or two things not so great about the hotel. The "superior" room at £150 for the night: if I had a cat that I brought on my travels to check room sizes, and I wasn't overly conce... Read more
