We stayed here as part of a large group on a dance weekend. We have stayed here many times before, but this time there was a noticeable improvement with all sorts of things. Our check-in was quick and smooth and we were asked what time we would like to have our evening meal (the times were staggered due to the number of guests staying that weekend and the limited size of the dining room). We then went to check our room and again we were pleasantly surprised. It appeared to have been recently dec... Read more

first of all ive stayed in the castle a few years ago and the room i got was outstanding. but on this occasion i was very disappointed and confused. broke my own golden rule and let my girlfriend pay before looking at the room, (never again). after paying we were sent on a 5 min march around the corridors to a room which was tiny, old wooden draws, tiny bathroom and a small bed with old looking bedding.. i was so shocked, went straight back down to reception and demanded a refund,,,, went else ... I stayed at the Norbreck with my 5 year old son on the 4 Feb 2017. Check in was very efficient and the fella very pleasant. Got up to the room and it was pretty cold. Although the radiator was on it was barely warm. The skylight didn't help it seemed to have a vent in it . Also the water wasn't any better. The room was mostly clean apart from dust on the bedside lamps. Breakfast... Breakfast was plentiful and started at 07:30. We got down to the dining hall just after that and expected it to b... We stayed here over the Xmas period on a coach tour and have to say we were pleasantly surprised. Quick turn around at reception and given directions to our rooms which we found with no problems. We had a double and a single room for our party and both we were on the third floor overlooking the back of the hotel. Not much of a view but we were not their to stay in our room looking out the window. The rooms were clean with crisp white bed linen and the bathroom had obviously been renewed with... Read more

My girlfriend and i recently returned here and its still fantastic. I know many people knock this place but we really enjoy staying here. The staff are fantastic, polite and friendly which is all you ask . The food was good and plenty was available so yet again cant complain there either. The facility's on offer are once again decent enough with the mini cinema for the kids and the games room. ( which i may add could possible do with sorting out as a number of machines were out of order or t... Read more

Booked a single room for a couple of nights but got a double which was nice. Room was clean (Room 443), the view was of the back of the hotel. Tea and coffee making facilities provided as well as hairdryer and hand/shower gel. On a negative, I could hear next doors occupants quite clearly and I thought a window was open but on further inspection, the wardrobe was covering an adjoining door to their room. I did need access to a computer and printer whilst there but none available, maybe a sugges... Read more

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in!! It's outdated paint pealing off the walls mold in the bathroom, beds are really uncomfortable! Windows are that dirty you can't see out, horrible smell throughout the hotel. Didn't bother with breakfast as it looked like feeding time at the zoo!! This place needs knocking down.

We stayed here in early January as the sister hotel the Savoy was closed due to lack of trade. On arrival the hotel was bustling with people and the reception staff were exceedingly professional and helpful. The room we received was very basic, the skirting boards had not been cleaned for many months ,picture frames had runs on them that we did not want to know what it was. The furniture was falling to bits and the crockery had not been washed correctly as it was stained. At night we went down t... Read more

Well what can we say, went to the Norbreck Castle last weekend for what we thought was going to be amazing, how wrong we're we. Checked in to room 41, OMG how disgusting was it, we walked in and felt like we we're in Blackpool dungeons, the room was tiny and had no window and no vents, approx 12ft by 12ft. All skirting boards we're thick with about 20years worth of dust and dirt, and looked as though they'd been knawed by a few rats, white paint was hidden by grime. Everything in the room was fu...
