Visited with my mum for one night, location is great, only a 5-10 minute walk to the Tower but it means you‚??re far enough away from the strip to be undisturbed at night. Car parking facilities were great, plenty of room and felt more secure than many of the other car parks we walked past. Room was fine, no problems other than a slightly funny smell in the bathroom (smelled like drains) and a step as you come out of the bathroom that is really easy to forget about! Breakfast this morning was su... Read more

Nice hotel situated on the front past the north pier. Parking costs £5 for the stay (we only stayed one night so may have to pay this each day if staying longer). Takes about 10 minutes to walk to winter gardens (15 minutes if you are a slow walker!) We have stayed previously 2 months ago but had upgraded on arrival last time and had a sea view on the top floor (paid about £130). This time our room was on the first floor at the back and cost £92. The rooms are clean and functional. Some of th... Read more

The Carlton is fairly near the attractions and there is a tram stop opposite. Unless you book direct with the hotel, there is a parking charge of £5 a night. Staff are helpful, polite and the general condition of the hotel is fine. Our room was properly prepared, if a little cramped and the ceiling was cracked. The TV remote batteries were flat (which could happen anywhere, of course). Neither my partner or I slept well because the mattress was lumpy. The shower was unwilling to hold a steady... Read more

We returned to this hotel knowing it had been recently refurbished and we weren‚??t disappointed big improvements had been made. Our only disappointment was, our room had no heating we had checked in early and alerted staff that we would not be back till late as we were going to a show so returning late to a cold room on a cold day was not impressed. We were offered a heater but not strong enough to heat a room, wr mentioned this as we checked out and were told we would be contacted by the duty ... Read more

Booked a superior family room with sea view for one night over half term. Upon arrival given a room at the back of the hotel so queried with reception and although I confirmed by showing email she said the room was what I had booked however she could show me a double room on the front at no extra charge and an extra bed would be put in the room. Very frustrated as I had proof of what I had booked and paid for. Breakfast was average and to top it all no hot water for a shower in the morning as th... Read more

First time for our visit in the best western Carlton and it did not disappoint at all. ANDY one of the managers always had time to talk not just shop but over a general topic a very interesting and nice guy. Nothing was too much trouble for him or the staff. The room we stayed in (200) was fantastic so large and exceptionally clean. Now the food was absolutely beautiful, warm plates and a really large portion from the menu of whatever you choose, the soup is homemade and a delight to eat. We sta... Read more

Stayed for a night just to see the lights! The hotel is a bit far from town when it's cool and windy! But easy access to trams, buses and taxis! Room was fine for the night as all I did was sleep! However very noisy from upstairs and doors slamming and the side street. Also the room got hot with no air con or fans just heating! Bit staff were lovely and breakfast was very good!

Booked in for Sunday lunch. Only six people in whole restaurant. Four of us and a couple. Did not worry as all looked well. What a disappointment, the meat was dry and the whole lot of veg was bland. To top it off the Yorkshire puddings were very crisp and over done. We complained and we were not charged for the main course. Likewise, the other couple there also complained, and got a refund. The manager said that this was the last Sunday of the season for such a meal, strange, as this is... Read more

Stay for 1 night in November. Reception and bar area nice and modern. Room was very small and a little dated. Had most amenities in the room (but no iron or ironing board). The room rate which included breakfast was very reasonable and the hotel is in a very good location for going into Blackpool itself with the tower being about 10 minutes walk down the prom.
