We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The hotel is build in a traditional thai style and is in harmony with nature around is. Comfortable room, deliciouse breakfast with western and thai food, nice staff, fantastic for SPA expierence and a great pool with even greater poolbar :-)

Not a huge hotel, but such a pretty place! A few minutes to the beach, fantastic breakfast, rooms small but really nice. Loved the river flowing throughout the grounds with playfull fish that just come to greet you. A place of peace, a photo opportunity at every corner. We visited the villas and they are just out of this world. If is in your price range, stay in a villa, you won't regret it. If not, do what we did, stay in one of the standard rooms. Again, you will love it!

My partner and I stayed here off the back of a large trip around Europe, and it was absolutely splendid. We stayed in a Baray villa, which has a jacuzzi which leads on to our own private pool which leads on to a canal style pool and pool bar only for others staying in the Baray Villa suites. The rooms were huge with ample storage, two showers, a large bath and two bathrooms. The bed was a king deluxe size and extremely comfortable - not too firm and not too soft! The staff at Sawasdee were war... Read more

The hotel is set in a beautiful rainforest style, the only problem was mosquito so if your going take bands and other precautions, a gentleman came to the room every evening and prayed the room, there were also anti repellent and a balm in the room so the hotel its self does all that it can but that's nature, the hotel is set in a nice quite area and within easy access to the shops and your offices and not to far from the beautiful beach.

Really enjoyed our stay here and extended another night. The whole place is laid out very well so you feel like you're in a quiet village miles from the Kata/Karon bustle. It's a great atmosphere. The spa is excellent, we went twice. Pool and bar area are excellent, and a perfect way to end a day before heading out to dinner. Breakfast wouldn't be worth paying for, but when included in the room price it's a good one. The only real drawback of the place is that all the water features help ... Read more

A lovely tropical themed hotel in carefully manicures gardens that look especially stunning when illuminated at night. The hotel features a small but well maintained landscaped pool with plenty of sun loungers. The poolside is almost entirely shaded by trees which will be a good thing for some, but will not suit hardcore sunworshippers. However the pool itself has some sunny spots and the swimming over to the little pool bar for a cocktail is a luxurious experience. Other strong points of the ho... Read more

We stayed here beginning of December in one of the delux rooms. They were a bit small but as we were only sleeping there it didn't really bother us. The staff were really friendly and always around to help with anything. The food was really good too. The pool area was very pretty, lots of trees so you could go in the shade if it got too hot. The staff also came in every night to spray the rooms with mosquito spray which was great as there were a few around.Would definatly recommend this place fo... Read more

This review will mainly be based on customer service as the hotel itself is very nice (to look at). When we arrived we was greater by a nice gentleman and our bags were carried through, we instantly liked the look of the hotel but once we arrived at check in it went downhill from there....the staff were the unfriendliest bunch of people we had met during our whole stay so far in Thailand (this was our 5th hotel). There was no interaction, no helpful advice on what to do in the area and they were... Read more

Did not live in the resort, but ate at the restaurant. Restaurant was almost empty, but took them 10-15 minutes to give us menus, and it looked like he didn't want to give them to us at all. Took 20-30 minutes to get the food, which was mediocre at best. And they took our plates while we were still eating basically. Only place in Thailand no one smiles. Worst restaurant I've ever been to in Thailand, by far.

This is a hotel you dream about - there's a welcome drink upon arrival, there's a swim-up bar in the pool which also has a waterfall, the decor makes you really seem like you are in some tropical paradise. Our room had a mosquito next as well as complimentary bug spray and lotion which was most welcome. We opted to do breakfast which was a nice spread with lots of fresh fruit, rice dices, eggs, and cereals. The front desk was super helpful in coordinating rides to and from the airport, as well a...
