Strategic location. Convenient to go weekend night market (sunday). Also nice food "Huen Phen" local northern restaurant nearby. Price range starts from 50 Baht. For ground tour, you may choose Travel Smile by Nina (Ms. Guita - walking distance from the hotel). She is very honest and knowledgeable. Worth the money to pay for holiday package :)

A bit hard to review this place. It must have been a standout 20 years ago but it needs a spruce up. Many of the reviews say the atmosphere is not right. Maybe an exorcist is required. Actually the location is great, the rooms are OK, the Air-con and internet are OK, the breakfast is OK except for the coffee and the service is good. In our room the switch to turn off the TV at the bed also turns off the fridge and after a day everything was getting warm. We rang and someone came in 3 mins and to... Read more

The contact personal missed our request for transportation from airport to the hotel, thus caused us to waited for an hour. After they realized the mistake, the manager showed sincerity with the appology and did not charge us for breakfast and return way transport. The air condition system were not in good condition for some room and the room temperature was not much different from the outside.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Overall it is quite a good hotel. Clean, spacious and with quite good amenities, including a pool and a small gym. It also includes a restaurant with a variety of dishes at a reasonable price. The room was big, clean, beds were comfy. The room had a large dresser, small flat screen tv, a fridge and a wardrobe. They also had available courtesy bath robes and slippers. The bathroom was a bit mildewy and had no ventilation, but had good water pressure and ... Read more

A massive hotel that always seemed empty, so had a bit of The Shining feel to it. Good pool and a/c. Room was massive, but had a dirty and dingy bathroom and wallpaper was peeling in several places. Front desk non that helpful and couldn't share any tips/recommendations. They also charged more to reserve in person at the desk, so changed hotels after two nights to The Royal Peninsula, which was great and 200bht cheaper.

Do not read "The Shining" before/during your stay here. I made this mistake. Creepy! Thankfully we did not see any mysterious party goers or hear any voices in our heads. Just noisy Chinese tourists. We did have the fortune to get "the bullet hole room!" 326 has a lovely bullet hole in the window...which looks like it was taped up at one point, but a previous and curious guest peeled it off. It really added some much needed charm to the room. Positives: cheap, ok location, across street from nic... Read more
