I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and can honestly say they have the most helpful staff I have ever met. After losing a bag in a taxi containing my medication the desk staff went out of their way to track it down for me, The staff are very polite and friendly and make you feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely and the food is the best I have ever eaten! Thank you to Stefan for a fabulous meal, Peter and all the staff for making our stay at the Imperial Mae Ping extra special. Reco... My husband and I stayed here for 3 days on our tour through Thailand for our 10th wedding anniversary booked from a travel agency. Well Iā??ll start with the positives: there was good buffet options for breakfast as most places in Thailand has great food & Courteous staff and itā??ll end there! The hotel is in bed shape, really bad shape, I would not spend a dollar on this property had I known how bad it really was and is... the bed uncomfortable, the room rundown I felt uncomfortable to sit... This was our third visit to Chiang Mai and the Imperial Mai Ping. The hotel is in a great location being close to the night markets etc. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a suite on the 14th floor. Very nice to have plenty of room however the television sets seemed to have a mind of their own - turn on the one in the bedroom and the one in the lounge area turns itself on. Frustrating when you're in bed. Breakfast seemed geared around an asian style and not so much wester... Read more

I cannot believe that there would be one good review from this Hotel. That was the dirtiest Hotel I have ever seen, from the rooms to the cafe, where breakfast is served. We were on the 11th floor and could see how dirty the pool is from there. There is no fan in the bathroom so there is mold everywhere. The shower curtain should have been replaced years ago. The bathroom needs to be gutted, the rugs in the room replaced. The bath towels and bath mat are so grey and worn out they should be thrown ou... Read more

Enjoyed this hotel with my family as it was very handy to centre of town and tourist activities. Within walking distance of markets and food cafes, bars etc.Rooms well appointed and clean, comfy beds, ensuite ,air con and pool Lovely restaurant which we only used for breakfast ,ex buffet. Preferred to eat down town in locally run cafes. Pool set at ground level with lovely tropical surrounding and plentiful supply of fluffy towels. Bar service also around the pool.

The hotel is very well located. You can't find better.... it is a big hotel. At the time of our visit, only two elevators worked and there was some renovation. It has 15 floors, so in the morning to get down stairs or upstairs you have to wait forever. The rooms are big but not very clean. The sheets are clean, but the pillows, the blanket and mattress has seen better days. The bathroom is ok, but not very clean IMO. At our stay, there were tons of Chinese people talking really loud in the hal... Read more

We have just had a great week at the Imperial. This is our third stay here in the last few years and the same FOUR reasons for booking in the first place still apply today, namely: excellent location, lovely staff throughout, good value for money and great pool area and gardens that make it feel more like a resort than a city centre hotel. The bedroom and bathroom are big enough and clean with comfortable bed and open city views. Breakfast was varied and provides for all tastes. There is a s... Read more

Been here a few times and it's always been great. The room I asked to be upgraded as I booked on Agoda and got a small room. Hotel desk staff were very polite and quickly changed rooms. Room service was quick and the rooms were clean. Absolutely awesome.
