The room is basic and a bit tired looking, but it was ok for two nights. The cleanliness was below standards and we had to ask for the floor to be re-cleaned as it was dirty when we checked in. The location was fine but we found the parking experience painful. It would be nice to have the info about parking on the 'parking information' on the page when we booked rather than just saying 'no parking' as there is obviously an arrangement with a nearby car park for ?10 a day

The hotel is well located, walking distance from the old city and the cathedral. It is a quiet and safe area. The facilities are great, cosy bedroom, very clean and nice. Breakfast is good. Very friendly staff

Location wise this was great. No more than 15 mins walk to the centre and on the main road in/out of town. All staff friendly and decent breakfast. Some good bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk

This hotel is right outside the old city wall making it just a few minute walk to the Cathedral, restaurants, etc. Very clean and comfortable with a nice feel about it. This place offers a great value and location.

Hotel is central to everything although the old town is a long walk once you arrive in the outskirts of Santiago. Unfortunately the room we were given had mould on the ceiling so we asked to be moved. That was a problem as the hotel was fully booked but we did move the next day. Small breakfast room but adequate but the restaurant was closed because of renovations. That didn't matter as there are so many to choose from. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Our final stay on the Camino was here, and what a great place to stop. Convenient to the Pilgrim's path, and the Cathedral, this was great. Went out for tea each night, and celebrated, and then came back to a peaceful and serene room on a quietish road. Enjoyed the experience with the staff who had good English.

Great location and a good hotel . Worth staying in as close to cathedral but you don't pay the crazy prices you pay in hotels next to It . Friendly reception and near a good restaurant called 16 . Would recommend

After a week's walking the Camino we had a Lovely room with bath & shower. We had the room with the outdoor patio . It was a good location. It was a little noisy at night as people came home but our windows were open & I think all central hotels are the same. The hotel was a lovely mix of old & new,

Our tour company booked this hotel for us for our last day of the Camino. Breakfast was very good and staff very nice. The hotel arranged an in room massage with a wonderful masseuse, very reasonably priced (30 Euro for an hour or 50 Euro for 2 people!). Within walking distance of every attraction. Very nice breakfast with meat, cheese, great Spanish bread. Couldn't ask for more!

We stayed here the day we finished the Camino and the fact we had a bath as well as a shower was a massive plus. The room was awesome with 2 foot thick stone walls a large comfy bed, two King singles pushed together. We also had a shared outdoor area with one other room that looked down through the glass ceiling of the lobby area downstairs. The restaurant is apparently quite renowned with an honourable mention in the Michelin guide but it must have been short of bookings when we were there as ... Read more
