The room was very small and claustrophobic. We stayed at another hotel in the area that has similar sized rooms for $40 dollars less. The shower had a bunch of other peoples hair all over it. I requested a room on an upper floor and was told that I had to take a room on a lower floor. We felt that the hotel did not offer good value.

Short break to Madrid with stay in this hotel for 3 nights. Location is fantastic feet from Casa Major Square. We did find it difficult to locate the hotel after being dropped by taxi at Puerto del Sol in the dark , in daylight just a couple of mins walk. Hotel has a fab frontage and nice restaurant attached. Reasonably priced considering the location. Rooms were comfortable with good shower. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and very fresh. Nespresso coffee machines were a nice bonus. S... This hotel is a gem! Located in a narrow street just off Plaza Mayor. An historic building with modern amenities. I requested a room on or near the ground floor for my 86 year old mother. We had more than this as the bathroom was equipped for people with limited mobility. The hotel has a lift anyway. The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly, advising us on places to go, how to get a metro card and much more. We didn't want to leave and will certainly return.

This is my second visit to this hotel in 6 weeks for business related travel in Madrid. The staff were always friendly, helpful and always smiling. The accomodation on both visits was very good in decoration, cleanliness, size of room and facilities therein. I didn't have time to eat in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on the food, but all in all I would recommend a visit here. Thanks to all at the Petite Palace for great service during my stays!

It was a perfect choice for us. The hotel is small, very close to the Plaza Mayor and the centre of the town and easy walking to the Prado and other well known places to visit. The staff were all very friendly and helpful particularly the people at the reception area. Nothing was too much trouble for them - always with a smile. They assisted us with very many varying queries and bookings. We felt really contented and relaxed after nwe returned from all our outings. The breakfasts were good an... Read more

We picked this hotel for it's central location and are glad we did. The hotel is literally steps from Plaza Mayor. It's is a nice building, with tasteful decors that complements its 400 year old history. Our room has a balcony that opens to the busy street. It was quite noisy when we open the balcony door for fresh air but the noise level was acceptable at night when we close the door. Hotel staff were very helpful. They upgraded our room and also stocked up water bottles and even little treat... Read more

The hotel is very central and very convenient. It is situated at the doorstep of Plaza Mayor with all the restaurants and shops nearby. Very ideal for family with older and younger generations. The staff are very friendly and helpful to us. I would like specifically to mention that the restaurant at Petit Palace which serves breakfast is one of the very best both in Madrid and London. The wide selection of food is excellent and the very friendly atmosphere by the staff in the restaurant espec... Read more

You cant stay more central, perfect area with bars and restaurants within seconds from the hotel. 60 meter to Plaza Mayor. Rooms are ok nothing special even with thick windows you will hear the nightlife but you are in the center of Madrid and no cars outside. Staff very nice and friendly. Good choose for a couple of days in Madrid
