At the very first we wanted to have a better room, but the only available junior suite had no view at all, while the deluxe one had a view to die for and an amazing terrace, even though the room was too small. The staff could have been a little friendlier, to be fair, they weren‚??t bad, but I am comparing this hotel with the same chain‚??s hotel in Barcelona and H10 Puerta de Alcala is loosing. Staff does not speak English that good, but still ok, understandable. The location is ok, even thoug... Read more

This hotel is very clean and well kept and the staff were most friendly and courteous. The hotel is well located and just a short walk from the metro or if you use the local buses there is a bus stop right outside or across the road. The breakfast is excellent although the hot options were sometimes on the cold side but brilliant choice. Would definitely consider using a H10 hotel again!

Fantastic experience for an aperitivo. The service was second to none thanks to the very gracious server Miki! Hospitality this good is extremely unusual in Madrid and is something that would be expected at the Ritz in Paris.

I recently had the chance to visit Madrid and stayed at a lovely hotel, H10 Puerta Dr Alcala. The hotel was in a great location that gave you beautiful sights of the surrounding area from the rooftop restaurant. The rooms were small but the lobby , restaurant, & beautiful decorated lounging area more than made up for it. This hotel was just a short walk to Puerta Dr Hernani, and other great sights of the city. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with a good location just a block from Retiro park. Close to the metro-system, and walking distance to the city centre. Clean hotel, nice rooms and comfortable beds. Rooms facing the courtyard has absolutely no views but are very quiet. Good breakfast buffet! Great roof top bar with spectacular view, a pool and moderately priced drinks.

A very modern and pleasant refit on this centrally-located hotel. The lobby is comfortable and the floors remodelled nicely with trendy wood-effect carpet. The photos on the 7the floor were honestly a bit creepy though. The room was big enough for relaxation and very well-equipped. Comfortable bed with high-quality linen and pillows. Opening window and silent air con. The bathroom is also well-equipped and the walk-in shower is comfortable. All lights are easily operated as well as the wi-fi. I ... Read more

This hotel is located and we used it just to stop one night, as we wanted to spend it in Madrid before taking 2 flights. Service is ok, breakfast a bit basic for a 4*, but at the end it is good for purposes. We arrived late night and got a room that was in the ground floor which was not nice, however if we return we will specify we want a higher floor. The need to improve a bit the cleanliness as some parts of the room were dusty. It will be in our list of hotels to stop over in Madrid.

I visited my daughter while she is studying abroad. Her school had the students stay here for the first few days of the program. She recommended I do the same & I am thrilled! The staff is pleasant, friendly & tries their best to work with your language. They have a fabulous breakfast with the Room all inclusive. Very central location. A very nice bar menu for the evening & Miki is a great bartender & waiter. He is very kind & speaks many languages. A great employee!! Recommend without hesitati... Read more

If there had been a kettle in the room it would have been pretty much perfect. My wife and I had planned a visit to Madrid so I could practice my Spanish. I knew nothing of Madrid prior to this trip so we really just stuck a pin in the map and got lucky. The location is superb. Not too far from the airport. Right next to El Retiro and really handy for the underground to take you into town. It is so close to Town that we walked in more than once in fact. The hotel was clean and comfortable an... Read more
